The Bible is a pile of stories ripped off from other religions. You seem to be obsessed with matter created from nothing (from the Big Bang?). Good points. I'm blessed to say that I know already what you've said. I know that Hell isn't an actual place of fire too. I apologize that Christians and churches have disappointed you. But out there in the world are Christians and churches that really do try to do the will of God. But remember, nobody can be perfect. I'd like to note that everyone is a part of the "body" of Christ. Some people are called to be as incredibly knowledgeable as you but not everyone.
What about Gehenna? What could that possibly represent? Parables are meant to represent realities. Plato believed in eternal forms, so there is a sense of timeless in Greek in the word aidios - but not in Hebrew - the concept does not exist - But that proves little since by the time the Gospels were written the Jews were Hellenized - and so were the Christians through Paul. Hell is a place of torment and hades is a resting place for the dead (grave) there is a difference. It doesnt matter if you know the Bible from "In the begining" all the way to "Amen" satan know the Word better than we do,but without applying it you wont ignite the power. @Marti8844 purchase an Interlinear Bible written in Hebrew, Greek and English with literal translation. Stay away from any NIV, NSV, NLT, ESV or any other new age version. They have twisted and deleted verses. regardless of what this guy says in the video, you will see that the KJV and NKJV is the closest next to a literal english translation.
In the parable, Hades is the word used which is translated from Sheol. The earth will be destroyed and there will be new earth formed. In Rev. 20:13 it says Hades gives up the dead and they are thrown in the lake of fire, the 2nd death. Sheol/Hades AKA Hell is real! It is in the depths of this earth.
You can believe what you want to believe. I know that hell is a real place that people go to, because God gave ME a vision of it and in the vision there was a scroll that said "If this is where you go, it will be because you knew the TRUTH and did not tell anybody." (The TRUTH, which was capitalized, meaning the Truth of Jesus Christ). Was Jesus a liar when He gave the parable about the man in hell that only wanted one drop of water on his tongue?

Has it ever dawned on u that it is the firery hot core of the earth that it is also talking about? The grave is where the body goes, and the grave/depts of the earth is where the soul goes for those who end up in hell.

1) the sun, moon and stars were created on the 4th day, "yoms" after the creation of the earth. this is patently false.

i don't know how you twist "night" and "day" but clearly, moses is claiming that these mornings and evenings are literal 24 hour days (echoed by jesus in John 11:9).

I am an atheist and I'm not freaking out in the sense you describe... I'm freaking out in the very opposite sense - I'm freaking out thinking "Why on Earth hasn't this guy made any videos in the last 2 years?!? I want to follow more of his journey!". Good points. I'm blessed to say that I know already what you've said. I know that Hell isn't an actual place of fire too. I apologize that Christians and churches have disappointed you. But out there in the world are Christians and churches that really do try to do the will of God. But remember, nobody can be perfect. I'd like to note that everyone is a part of the "body" of Christ. Some people are called to be as incredibly knowledgeable as you but not everyone.

Plato believed in eternal forms, so there is a sense of timeless in Greek in the word aidios - but not in Hebrew - the concept does not exist - But that proves little since by the time the Gospels were written the Jews were Hellenized - and so were the Christians through Paul. My favorite part is how when you hear voices from people that aren't around talking to you, that's part of a mental illness called schizophrenia. But when you hear God, then you're just spiritual.
By the way, I hope you know that no matter how much you shake your head around, you have no idea what Jesus said. You have no idea why the scriptures you've read were written. Think about it from a philosophical stand point; you weren't there, you didn't hear any of it.

"Lies told to you by Satan"? Satan is a myth representing the dark nature of man. Not a real being. Jesus was also a myth. Not a real man. If you take some of the teachings of the Bible symbolically, then you may be able to capture a little bit of spiritual truth, if you understand it correctly. But if you take a lot of these things literally, then you'll just be spouting off a lot of loony babble. And you will end up doing harm to yourself and others.

@chuckfrasher hence the general religious following over the past several hundred years. i've never read it, but i dont imagine it can be easy to fully understand a text translated from another language in a dialect of that language that is long extinct. its like someone who speaks modern chinese and english trying to translate shakespeare to chinese. meanings would be lost, some important. except that would probably be easier... but the point stands

Hell is a place of torment and hades is a resting place for the dead (grave) there is a difference. It doesnt matter if you know the Bible from "In the begining" all the way to "Amen" satan know the Word better than we do,but without applying it you wont ignite the power. True the KJV is not fully accurate, nd the Geneva isnt either, but its the best translation in english we got. The Word is meat with few bones, seperate the too. BE BLESSED

You are correct when you say the bible is not accurate, after so many translations from the original. Now, I must stress that I "don't" believe in the bible, koran, or the torah. Stay open-minded, and one day, you'll progress to a nonbeliever.

@Marti8844 purchase an Interlinear Bible written in Hebrew, Greek and English with literal translation. Stay away from any NIV, NSV, NLT, ESV or any other new age version. They have twisted and deleted verses. regardless of what this guy says in the video, you will see that the KJV and NKJV is the closest next to a literal english translation.

In the parable, Hades is the word used which is translated from Sheol. The earth will be destroyed and there will be new earth formed. In Rev. 20:13 it says Hades gives up the dead and they are thrown in the lake of fire, the 2nd death. Sheol/Hades AKA Hell is real! It is in the depths of this earth.

You can believe what you want to believe. I know that hell is a real place that people go to, because God gave ME a vision of it and in the vision there was a scroll that said "If this is where you go, it will be because you knew the TRUTH and did not tell anybody." (The TRUTH, which was capitalized, meaning the Truth of Jesus Christ). Was Jesus a liar when He gave the parable about the man in hell that only wanted one drop of water on his tongue?

To the maker of this video, you are in error of what your talking about. Sure, the scriptures mention the "grave" and the "depts of the earth." Has it ever dawned on u that it is the firery hot core of the earth that it is also talking about? The grave is where the body goes, and the grave/depts of the earth is where the soul goes for those who end up in hell.

your allegations regarding genesis "days" is false:
1) the sun, moon and stars were created on the 4th day, "yoms" after the creation of the earth. this is patently false.
2) "And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." (Gen 1:5)
i don't know how you twist "night" and "day" but clearly, moses is claiming that these mornings and evenings are literal 24 hour days (echoed by jesus in John 11:9).

The same word "aiōnios" is used to describe God (Romans 16:26). So God is not eternal?
Some other consequences, the Holy Spirit is not eternal( Hebrews 9:14), the promise is not eternal (Hebrews 9:15) and so on...
SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE, EITHER THE WORD MEANS ETERNAL AND GOD IS ETERNAL AND HELL IS ETERNAL OR THE WORD DOESN'T MEAN ETERNAL AND GOD IS NOT ETERNAL. I THINK WE ALL KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS ONE...KNOWLEDGE PUFFS UP!

Math has its book with laws, explanation how it works in our physical world.
Same with physics, biology etc. These all are subjects throug that we UNDERSTAND our physical world.
What we got wrong is that Religion is somethin to do with FAITH, or BELIEF.
Belief is same subject as math. All tough its above everything.
Cos phenomenas that requires Belief cant be explained by anythin. Liek Dr Emotos discoverie on water, or placebo effect. To be a believer u must believe. Read BELIEF DEFINITION.

I am an atheist and I'm not freaking out in the sense you describe... I'm freaking out in the very opposite sense - I'm freaking out thinking "Why on Earth hasn't this guy made any videos in the last 2 years?!? I want to follow more of his journey!". There are VERY few theists I can stand, and the only common thread is the one thing you share with them AND atheists - desire for facts and truth, as opposed to desire for comforting hypothesis and whatnot.

Bible new testament was written 200-400 years after events. some books of the bible were written by people other than those professing to be the author. translated from several languages with varying degrees of accuracy. edited 400 years ago to suit english government mandates. If you decide to follow a christian god treat it as a book of fables

Theists think all gods but theirs are false. Atheists simply don't make an exception for the last one. God is merely a manifestation of mans fear of death. An eternal afterlife is a manifestation of mans ego believing in his own self importance. I'll end with my favorite atheist quote, "We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes.

What they believe 100% - what they have studied themselves 0% that's why christanity is still around. The gospel writers just copied the actual historical findings from Ejypt of the sun god Horus 3000BC combined with dashes of other gods B.C. to come up with the lovely new prop called the new testament. The whole character jesus was copied word for word from Horus and Dionysis (not sure spelling on that one)

You're obviously working hard to understand things, instead of just following blindly, but if you have read the whole bible frontwards and backwards, how can you still follow it. It is such a bizarre document. The Old Testiment is all tribal war stories, and the New completely contradicts the old. Either the creator is a drunkard, who randomly tries to correct his mistakes, or this text is worthless. Why are you stuck with the Judio-Chris. bible? There are so many other texts in the world.

cjae, you seem to be very driven to learn things, but are misapplying your thirst. you should study science instead of religion. keep doing what you feel you need to in order to stay in gods good graces, but dedicate your time to understanding science on its own terms; not to disagree or even agree with it, but to understand the rationale. once you see how scientists are claiming things relate to one another, you can make your own decisions on whether those ideas make any sense.

2) she saw clouds and and felt no pain, she didn't want to comeback! but, then a voice of a man, told her 3 times "you have to come back" but she didn't want to, but she did, I think because her job here was not finished. God gave her a healing gift,every time she would pray for the sick, she would had some kind of oil coming from her hands, believe it or not, there was this 12 year old kid in church that had down syndrome and never walked in his his life, his mother had to take him to church

I am an Atheist, Not that it makes a difference really.
Now while I don't believe in a GOD, any god, I do appreciate people such as yourself that post such commentary. I long ago left religion because of the hippocracy of the leader and congregation actions verses what they claim to believe in.
I will never return to religion as I am now in my mid 40s it no longer makes sense to me, on the other hand I'm secure enough to say well done to a person that at tries to follow what has been taught.

The problem is that all the arguments about knowing the scripture and studying it would apply equally to him. Why should I trust his interpretation of the scripture over John MacArthur, John Piper, Greg Koukl, or R.C. Sproul? Tell me how Church is just an inc. when John Piper has a "whatever you can afford policy" on his works not to mention that you can download any of his sermons for free on his website.

First of all, I didn't say God put the knowledge inside of us, I said He put it in the TREE. Secondly, "God works ALL (not some, not a few, not most,ALL) things according to the counsel of HIS WILL (not yours, or mine, or barney rubble's) Eph 1:11 Therefore when man "fell" (fell from what?he was newly formed.) it was because that was God's INTENTION so that man would learn the consequences of evil, ALONG WITH the benifits of "good"-that's why they were IN THE SAME TREE.
