flechettes have more penetration and less damage and buckshot, it means it can go through thin material and enemies so if there is a bunch of them you hit them all instead of just the first one up front

first off its pronounced fla-shet-ii dart. Second, the Flechette ammo is actually better at close range because of the penetration ability, at least when you are dealing with multiple enemies. This is due to the fact that the darts better penetrate everything, even bodies. I have tested the spread of both shots and they seem to be about the same so I figure there has to be a reason that you have to unlock Flechette ammo unlike buckshot. When it comes to shotguns however its all about the 870

Nick, reason people is use Flechette is because the damage reduction from buckshot isnt really that much, it gous trough light cover, butthe biggest factor is when you have two people, one behind theother, the flechette rounds will deal full damage to the pearson in front and a good a mount to pearson behind. Making killing blobs of enemies much more efficient. Using it on Metro 64 is better than frag imo.

i guess destroying the spawn beacon is something just in case. i have had several experiences where ive taken the risk of letting them spawn and what happens is sometimes the enemy manages to get around us, thus screwing our team when his squad spawns on him. its really just in case, so there is 0% chance of any flanking problems. but then again, thats only if the beacon is in an area for possible flanking.
