If a president takes away/suspends any rights, no matter the reason, that makes his presidency a failure. I doubt any president will ever have a presidency that I find no fault in, but there have been several that did not revoke civil rights, and that makes them better presidents. Taft really do many things I find bad, but he didn't do all too much other than trust-bust. As far as the taking away of rights is concerned, one of America's founding mottos is "Give me liberty or give me death"

On the CIA side, he supported the blatent lies that the CIA pedalled when reporting on the USSR. They said that the USSR had way more money and weapons than they actually did, that way congress would approve of more Cold War excesses. Liberal policies have lead to the decline of our schools, and frankly healthcare is far worse several other places, where it has been left to the "State." Also, our crime rates have improved dramatically, (especially because of Guilianni (sp?), and of course we'll be able to get rid of our debt. That is all research outside of class, my friend. In a history class, all you learn about those three is that they were great leaders(lincoln freeing the slave, reagan fought communism, and bush really isn't discussed because he's still the president so his idoicy isnt in the books yet.) You're the one that needs to do research, we've never had a good president(other than taft. taft kicked ass), they've all been greedy, and ready to go to war.

Perhaps bcse you are so young, you have not had time to learn very much yet. Plus you have not lived thru too many presidents.
Are you discounting Lincoln's achievements of freeing the slaves, guiding the US thru a Civil War and the reconcilliation?
Reagan was, perhaps the greatest pres we ever had (certainly in modern times). He defeated USSR without firing a shot. Also, did many other good things for country.

Now for Bush. Bush is literally a moron, he doesn't understand international affairs and seems to think deplomacy means "bomb them until they agree with us." On 9/11 he instantly started looking for a link to Iraq, partly because of the Bush family's vendetta against Hussein and partly so Cheney's stocks could go up a few points.

I discount Lincoln because he was so quick to get rid of the writ of habeus corpus, and the fact that he only grudgingly freed the slaves(he originally only wanted to bring the country back together). Reagen was a nazi...he promoted supply-side economics(which is essentially saying "fuck anyone who isn't rich") and not only allowed, but supported some of the worst actions by the CIA and FBI.

Did free the slaves -- in fact the US (which you seem to hate) is the only country that has ever fought a war to end slavery. Lincoln also establihshed the plan of reconstruction of the south so ther would be a country. Bcse you didn't like the supsension of HC, you discount all his accomplishments? If a president takes away/suspends any rights, no matter the reason, that makes his presidency a failure. I doubt any president will ever have a presidency that I find no fault in, but there have been several that did not revoke civil rights, and that makes them better presidents. Taft really do many things I find bad, but he didn't do all too much other than trust-bust. As far as the taking away of rights is concerned, one of America's founding mottos is "Give me liberty or give me death"

No anarchy would mean no one is garunteed rights, because anyone could be abused by anyone else without fear of arrest.Rights simply keep the gov't from becoming(more) facist. And the founding fathers lived in a different time, if we only base decissions on what they thought we are ignoring hundreds of years of social evolution. The founding fathers also owned slaves and beat their wives if they talked back, and we know those are bad.

On the CIA side, he supported the blatent lies that the CIA pedalled when reporting on the USSR. They said that the USSR had way more money and weapons than they actually did, that way congress would approve of more Cold War excesses. There was also the support for the CIA opperations in Africa, Middle East, and South America.

If this was a face to face debate I would completely explain all points you had conflict with, but seeing as how YouTube only allows 500 character's per post, and you ask multiple questions per post some fall through the cracks. If you are wondering about the reagan nazi connection, i wasn't implying supply-side=holocaust, but the fact that reagan who was a fascist and oppossed free speech. hat makes him a nazi, supply-side only makes him a horrible person who didn't care about the working poor.

Reagan tax cuts benefitted everyone. So did supply-side econ.

1)Get off the holocaust thing, you can be a nazi and not kill 6 million people, you just have to be a racist and a facist. Reagan was a facist because he wanted to stregthen the gov't's power over social issues. He signed several laws that negatively affected minorities and gays. He also fought free speech when he supported the arrest of a man for burning the flag(later overturned by the Supreme Court, thankfully)

its not a fallacy, he fits the definition of nazi(one who supports strong nationalistic ideas and racism). Lets see he opposed gay rights, and shot down legislation to support AIDS research as well as opposing equal employment legislation. The lawsuit was opposed by Reagan because he was against the man's right to free expression. And at that point none of the Justices were Reagan appointees.

1)Then what is the correct definition, if my dictionary is so flawed?
2)No he opposed gay right, and minority rights, at the time what you called "special rights" could have saved a lot of people from being discriminated against, in such a bigoted time.
3)The only reason Reagan didn't care about AIDS research was because it primarily affected gays and blacks(two groups he cared nothing about).
4)My beef is with Reagan's views/opinions. He opposed free expression and thus was a bad person.

1. Stay in school and learn, but not from your liberal teachers.
2. Everyone in US has same rights regardless of ethnicity or sexual orientation. Don't need "special" rights for those groups. Just as wrong as "hate crimes".
3. Because it effected very small # of people, and gov't funding is not the answer to every problem. No one understood the breadth of the problem then.
4. You don't like him bcse he was conservative. Period. None of your points connect to opposing free expression.

How many times must I lay out the very obvious, he opposed the right to free expression(in this case burning the flag, but he also voiced sislike for public protests). Conservative or no, he was against free expression. There are liberals in congress who oppose flag burning and I also find them to be horrible people. Party makes no difference, anyone who is agaisnt basic civil rights doesn't belong in office.
