I never understood how people can go "No you don't follow the way I think thus you can't do that". I think that is what we call discrimination and infringing on peoples rights. Isn't this the type of thing we had back in the 60's? Sure it was black people instead of gay people but the same things still apply. Some one tell me why it is so wrong being gay? If you give me one legit reason then I will forever go against gay marriage.
Yeah, I disabled the ratings. Maybe it's the same-sex wedding subject matter or the treatment of that subject, but after being way up there, the average rating dropped so fast that it looked like a concerted effort by some people to give it 1's. As they say, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean no one's against you - LOL!
Reform Judaism, to which most American Jews belong, rsanctions & performs gay marriage. While gay marriages themselves are not performed in Israel, the State of Israel does recognize any gay marriage performed in a country that does have such (like Canada, Spain, or The Netherlands) in which one of the 2 participants is already an Israeli citizen or should the gay married couple immigrate to Israel.
So is wearing blended cloth! How many Jews follow that one? And when was the last time we slew our neighbor for breaking the Sabbath? Hey, I've eaten shrimp at a reception in a Reform Temple (many years ago).
To be accurate, the act of gay sex is an abomination while most other things are not. When the bible uses the word "toeiva," it is meant to impress upon the Jewish people the seriousness of the sin itself. gay sex is an Abomination according to Jewish law, BUT reform judaism does not believe in Jewish law. They believe in a hodgepodge of mixing and matching. hofungleb's own admission to eating shrimp in a "temple" is testimony to the fact that reform Jews are Jews in name only.
Nu, blended cloth is also an abomination. How do you dress? If the only Jews are absolute "Torah true", halachic Jews, then show me more than 20 in the world! What about loshen hora, my friend.
you are mistaken. the prohibition of Shaatnez which u refer to as "blended cloth" is NOT an abomination. it is the commandment of not wearing wool with linen, which "Torah True" Jews do not wear, and indeed get any clothing with one of the fabrics checked, to make sure that it is kosher to wear. Loshon Hora is the prohibition of slander, gossip... that is also something that Jews do not do. There are well over 2 million Jews and counting that adhere to the lifestyle G-d Commanded them to live.
