  • I don't care what the haters say, simply the greatest sprinter of all time. Working two jobs and working out at 12, 1am, dedication plus. An inspiration to many. Throw in the beauty, charisma, she was the complete package. RIP Florence, you certainly are missed.

  • i sorry was juiced up thats why she retired soon after the games so she could not be drug tested do you not find it strange she was buried straight away!!!

  • She is so beautiful! I don't think she was on drugs one can definitely achieve her physique and speed by training naturally. But more importantly when I listen to stories and the way her husband talks about her I think she was virtuous and had a lot of integrity. Those values just wouldn't allow one to cheat. Let her rest in peace. Love you Flo Jo!

  • The little windfall for the everyday person (like you and I) is that the drugs that are taboo nowadays will be a way of giving quality of life to us in years to come. In 10 years the drugs that we complain about like HGH, Steroids, etc will be the same drugs we will use to give us prolonged life. I truly believe that.

With that said, I do not truly give a damn whether or not she used drugs. Show me a guy or gal who takes PEDs, sits on the couch, and then breaks World records. Still takes work!

  • One Beautiful, Bad Ass HEBREW!!! U GO GURL!!!

  • many american athletes still love steroids. they'll take them for competition unless strict drug tests are conducted, be they power-lifters or baseball players. it's totally odd that f. joyner still holds the world records set up more than 20 years ago when drug tests were not as accurate as they are. even the "fake" records set up by juiced-up m. jones came nowhere near to her world records. ironically, the longer she holds the world records, the shadier her world records will be.

  • She looked awesome running. No one has ever surpassed her in that category either. She was a machine on the track making the rest look like noobs and that's just funny as hell. Call her what you want, but she's a true legend and it's individuals like her that make this sport interesting!

  • She wasnt short; she was 5ft 7 inches tall, which is quite tall for a woman. She was so beautiful to watch; inspiring. RIP FloJo, you were a one-off. God broke the mould after He made you:)

  • Death by steroids...........sad.

  • @emi1chin wrong

  • @emi1chin EXACTLY WHAT SHE WANTS US TO THINK BELIVE IT OR NOT

  • Beautiful!!!!!!! she floats in slo mo. We lost a The GREATEST ONE!!!!! Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous

  • she was literally smiling like over halfway of that last 100 meter....

  • that kid sux dude i am way better dude those teams r terrible play somebody goodthat dont suck then put a video on there

  • These comments are both hurtful and gay. I personally dont care if she used drugs she is still the fastest woman that ever lived. She should be remembered and respected as that always and forever. Point in question: The Beatles, Hendrix, Floyd all did drugs. Is their work any less valid? Answer: A big NO!

  • ROID USER. FLO-JO HAS LOST MY RESPECT AS AN ATHELETE. SHE HAS ALL THE CLASSIC SIGNS OF HEAVY (((STERIOD))) DRUG USE.

THAT'S THE CHEATERS WAY OUT.!!! EVELYN ASHFORD IS THE TRUE CHAMPION.

THE SHE PASSED AWAY......AT A VERY VERY YOUNG AGE. HMMMMM....

  • Comment removed

  • ggrif270OH you are right just like Edwin Moses took 13 then 12 steps between hurdles she used a Thoroughbred horse stride. she covers approximately a foot and half more ground with every stride as oppose to the next runner. Look at her stride as oppose to all the other runners. Compare it to her 1985 stride it is a lot different

  • the dominance she always showed over the others runners was sexy as hell

  • I think she was on something. She made massive improvements on her 100m records.

  • god damn she was beautiful. She was an all american woman who represented what women could be in the eighties, both beautiful and successful.

  • @ridgeforresterda3rd - SHE LOOKS GOOD IF YOU LIKE YOUR WOMEN TO LOOK ((((((( MANLY ))))))). STERIODS!!!!!!!

  • @voysingme come on now..... she looks good

  • Wht song is this?????? simply beautiful

  • @angelabrandy

This lahla hathaway. The name of the song is I'm coming back. I may have spelled her first name wrong, but the pronounciation is correct. She's got some great hits. Enjoy.

  • SHe has probally the best form in womens track I have ever seen My goodness her technique is beautiful!!!! R.I.P My beautiful Sistah

  • @tigger1289 : actually, she got a prefect form.just the people who know what is sprint running can know that!

other people just can said about the steroid!

    so stupid!

  • ...and all these exciting moments passed before i was born :(

i think she was a strong women! of course, she had a strong body, but i mean her heart and her soul !

  • Her apologists who live in denial need to (dare to) get a reality check. Her steroid - testosterone usage became so profound, one of the other side-effects being she developed a beard and wore facial make-up to disguise the stubble............

  • @equinoxranch can you point to ANY pics of said beard? Since high school Florence has always come to the track "done up." She was heavily into fashion and looking good. In fact, she was one of the first to actually do her hair before a track meet.

  • Not a track fan at all,but loved watching Flo Jo run.She was electric!

  • what a woman!

  • You don't know Flo-jo like I knew her.Haters, pure haters is what yall are! That's my aunt and I want you to let her rest in peace and give her the respect she earned!

  • i miss her... i dont care what you all say!

  • i see that she is flying LOL

    Flo Jo is prefect!

  • I think people forgett that Evelyn Ashford would have defended her title here as Olympic champion. In reality she did !

  • STATISTICS CALCULATION - from

    BR-0 com/olympics htm

  • I don't care if she was doping. She was an amazing, beautiful woman.

  • Im not sayin she was on anyting.....but we all humans in which case we will get suspicious..in which case she made herself look suspicious after retiring immediately after being accuse of taking drugs...if she wanted 2clear this accusation...she shouldnt have retire..

  • she has chun li's thighs :)

  • What song is this?

  • Marion Jones was on steroids and couldn't get her muscles as big as Flo Jo's.....there's no way to prove that she was on steroids....all of her tests were negative and even the autopsy showed that there was no proof of performance enhancing drugs. Get over it! She was successful b/c it was meant to be and she should be honored for her efforts and results, NOT BASHED b/c she can't speak up for herself.

  • FLO-JO DID NOT DO SEROIDS @ THE OLYMPICS??

    NIETHER DID BEN JOHNSON ??

    STERIODS ARE FOR TRAINING !!!

Ben & his coach knew the clearance time for steroids to leave his system THIS WAS BEFORE THE DAYS OF

    RANDOM TESTING

DID MARION JONES EVER FAIL A DRUGS TEST ???

All those people that say FloJo never took drugs should think about it ???

I THOUGHT BEN & FLOJO WERE AMIAZING BUT I LIVE IN THE REAL WORLD !!!

& by the way ithink Ben took a winstrol steroids but the found stanozal in his sample ???

  • Fuck every1 dat say she was on sumthin how n da hell can u be on enhancements wit a brain disease but dats a typical hater u cnt do wat she did so u talk shit, n look @ how she is runnin its PERFECT FORM dats wat made her fast

  • Flo definately was on juice. The giveaway is her voice.. It became destinctly deeper between 1987-88.. I do however subscibe to the fact she did indeed posess a great talent.. Her sprinting form is the best to date and I believe it is this combination which led to such a vast improvement in one season.. Any psychologist who watched her "retirement" press conference would be aware that Flo was being seriously disengenuous about why she was calling it a day..

  • Did you see her STRIDE? Damn!!! She was the best!

  • She was SMILING for nearly 50m!! That is incredible relaxation. Her technique is greatly underrated.

  • she actually the fastest woman in the university.LOL

  • If you compare her size to a natural and I mean all natural female bodybuilder, Flo Jo still comes out smaller. Flo Jo was also short so she appears bigger than a taller athlete. Flo Jo just mastered form and stride length x stride frequency

  • @ggrif270OH Flo Jo was actually 5'7"

  • she did not have 2 much muscle for a female... FloJo actually wasn't that big....she was still skinny, she was just very toned and cut....if you look at her build in the 1984 Olympics and then look at her in the 1988 Olympics...there wasn't too much difference in the upper body besides her definition it was more so her legs that had the size and that's what's so important in track and field to run fast times...strong legs will take you a long way! Trust I know, I'm a sprinter myself.

  • im a sprinter.... and ur a fool... granted her muscle mass wasn't that much improved on the upper body but u would have to be on dope urself to not see that this women had developed muscles on her thighs in particular that aint been seen on any sprinter before or after. regardless of the wind assisted record she was usually clocking fast times, times that no one has got close too and there's the retirement at her peak just before real dope testing was beginin oh and the fact she bore a moustache

  • yep...back in the 70's and 80's they ALL were on it...some got better results the others... namely F Jo and C Lewis and good old Ben Johnson...my favorite juicer...

  • That aint right... Glory on steroids;(

  • Damn right!

  • R.I.P

  • I remember When as a Teenage boy, I ran like a girl.

Florence use to come out on the track and run like a girl. She always came in last. She seemed to have more muscle, than the other girls, especially in the Back. But I could always feel her desire, it was "Overwhelming"

  • someone want to chat

lovin this video!! leave me a comment ZC

  • Damn she blew the other runners out of the box! She was so pretty!

  • @PrettyOxymoron Yeas she most definitely was. Very classy too.

  • the testing sucked back then or they concealed the it if it was postitve

  • The Queen of Steroids at her best here!

  • fuck u hater wen u win shit den talk

  • The Queen of Steroids at her best here!

  • nah the queen award goes to that east european Jarmila Kratochvílová.

this is why when people talk about 'strong' east euro slavics being the strongest in the world is simply laughable. those guys pump fucking cattle roids into their veins lol.

  • tremendous buttocks...ahhhh

  • what beautiful woman.

  • I like how in the last minute of the video, you can see her smiling more and more while she's running...totally relaxed and proud of herself as she runs to victory.

  • wow she's even not sweaty each time

  • Florence Anabolic Joyner

  • yo wat song is this man?

  • Lalah Hathaway - I'm coming back

  • If you watch how she extends her legs and dig from side to side like micheal johnson(before Micheal )it was her different running style she had during the stretch. If she had used drugs they would have caught her.All I saw was technique and I've been around some fast ppl and the fastest one bounce from side to side when they run like she do.

Ps yall just hatn FL-Jo was Ice Cold

  • I have to smile about that. Why should they have caught her. In the states they tested loads of athletes positive but it was covered up. During meetings u don't have to take anything so no positive test. Other thing is that there are loads of drugs they cannot find.

  • They DO often test during meets! I've heard of Olympians being disqualified simply because of taking a Tylenol, etc.!

  • Check out Flo Jo's profile on Wikipedia.

They'll give you the cause of death.

    Nothing to do with Steroids.

  • what song is this?

  • Im Coming Back by Lalah Hathaway originally sung by Vesta & written by Bette Midler

  • thank you :-)

  • wow she was fast my friend markeisha jackson likes to run and flojo is her idol

  • Standing up against all the runners at that time, she was no bigger than any of them. Her records not being touched in 20 yrs, with continued doping tells me she was on something. But the records should and will remain. There was doping in track and field long before she came along.

  • Biggest drug cheat in history. She was on every performance enhancer going, growth hormone, roids, the lot. Her'record' should be stripped from the books-its an absolute farce. Anyone who thinks otherwise probably thinks father christmas is real..

  • yo-I was running track around that time and she really put that record out there-I think she was on"something" her world record for 100m is too far out there for me- She looked kinda "different" too a lot more masculine as her career went forward-hate that she passed away so young though-

  • I have to agree , And in 1988 I had every picture of Flo Jo on my closet . I wanted her real bad (But That's another story) ,When I learned about doping in the Sport and all the U.S athletes doing them Come on! She was juicing and I know she was not the first But that does not justify you to cheat the sport .She may not have died from the roids But it sure didn't help . At least Marion had to come clean I have to respect that more than just retiring and trying to run away with the glory.

  • Flo Jo never used drugs. They didn't find any in her system when she died.

  • She is the best track star to live!

  • 4 seconds in a year ?so u mean she need 14 seconds to finished 100m beford ??????

    u so funny too!

  • Funny how her time improved like .4 seconds in a year

  • This is a GREAT post. The music made me miss her and that time in track & field even more.

  • thank-you for posting this video it just made me love track and flo-jo even more.

  • To J88YanCey: thanks for posting this. I still miss Flo-Jo after all these years.

  • don't be talking about my cousin prettyboy and that is my cousin through my grandfather we are joyners

  • Fuck Flo-Jo was HOT!

  • Yes indeed. I remember being glued to the TV watching "The Flo Jo Games". She was a powerful and stunning combination beauty and strength, and CLASS. Too It just shows how she put a huge impact in Olympic History and our memories because she ran these races 20 years ago and people are STILL concerned about whether she was on "The Juice" or not. We Miss her and she is irreplaceable.

  • thats not even funny.

  • Sure isn't funny. But who cares about prettyboi's opinion, the idiot could hardly spell

  • she did not take drugs. she died beause she suffocated in her pillow while having a seizure. she had epilepsy

  • i can C her arms rippling :P

  • takin steroids damages the heart.

the gap between the best is a lot less

now due to the standard of testing.

  • Florence Griffith-Joyner gave Athletics many memories from the time till present. She had grace, style and 'nuff talent to last throughout our decades. She gave me strength through my years of track as an up n comer. Allow her to R.I.P and keep the inspiration throughout mankind

  • We love you and miss u sister florence griffith joyner. RIP

  • that chick was crazy insane fast....it looks like her entire race was her increasing accelerating, no coasting or slowing down.

  • Flo is the greatest of all!!! I miss her like crazy!!!

  • what's the name of the song?

  • the name of song is

    im comming back

    lalah hathaway

  • Great video. Great tune - real 80s flava ! Cool

  • wow thats amazing she is really fast

  • We now for a fact Marion Jones cheated and Jones at her best didnt come close to Flo's records so wateva the case may be Flo was jus that damn good. U could take the fastest female in the world and stuff her with roids and she still won't touch Flo's records.

  • i agree with that, how many people have cheated at the top,and shes still better than marion jones by a long way, rip flo jo, ure 88 achievments will always be remembered as my favourite athletics moment ever, there has never been a race since thats came close in excitement or anticipation as the 88 ledgendary world records

  • Haters always try to take away from a persons greatness. Hey losers, lets see you dedicate your life to a great goal like she did.

All your great athletes blow themselves out in the end. That's part of their greatness.

  • Great goal- to get fueled with steroids?!

  • a lot of really strong atheletes die young. I have no idea why. She was awesome and I agree that the people who can't do it always try to put a taint on something.

  • That's the price you pay for being the 1st at any cost!!!

  • I still can't believe she's gone.

  • She was drug tested...enough said...

  • I remember her when she ran in Helsinki-83. She was so beautiful looking but I dont think you can say that 2 years later to put it mild and nice. What happened? Is it normal that women voices lower one octave if you run fast enough? Very sad story to sat the least!

  • well you know people keep saying smart comments about joyner taking steriods..but you know what they say when white folks about to lose they can't stand it! esp to a beautiful black woman.....they DEF CAN'T STAND THAT!!HAHAH hatas! gota luv it!! i just hate she had to go through all that non-sense and stupid accusations!!

  • hello, please who sang this song? its very old skool and i really like it. i think flo jo's gorgeous.

  • hi !!!

the song the sing lala hathaway

your name is im coming back

  • im coming back

  • lol u copy't that noob

  • To all the people that have accused her of cheating you guys can go to hell. She never tested positive and my family knew her for years. She worked harder then anybody to be the best. That woman killed herself to be the best and never took anything to cheat she was a woman on integrity so you guys can keep that cheating shit to yourself.

  • the sad thing is she was undoubtedly loaded with steroids. shame.

  • like a beautiful star ya you cant touch that stay sweet woman feel special always

  • hey J88YanCey as the song is called ????

  • R.I.P Flo Jo X

  • DRUGGIE CHEAT! have you ever seen the before & after pictures. B4 she was a GOOD athlete posting GOOD times for 100/200m, AFTER the drugs her body changed completely her muscle definition changed over a Winter, she grew a moustache, her labia (pussy lips) increased massively and her voice dropped an octave(hence voice differential) These ARE classic signs of drug useage, sadly drug testing was PISS poor in the 70's/80's. So any of you idiots who think she ran fast times clean are just deluded

  • Maybe she was clean, maybe she wasn't. No-body can say for sure. Regardless, she was great athlete and should be respected. Speculation does NOT equal fact. But all TOP competitors are on something. If your competing at a serious level like this then OF COURSE YOU ARE. When it comes to sports like Athletics, there's no such word as cheat cus EVERYONE is on some form of Drug and if you don't believe that then UR deluded!

  • that song is?

  • OK lets say she is clean. This is the problem the Olympic commity has made for it's self. Because now if you have an exceptional athlete people will automaticly think "Oh yeah there's a cheat". and I can't blame them.

My guess is over 50% of track atheltes are cheating, and all the winners. Prove me wrong I dare you, because on your way to proving me wrong your gonna find alot of cheaters.

  • of course she took performance enhancing substances.but so whatif half or more athletes sre taking drugs , then it makes no sense not to,ithink there should be no restrictions on what an athlete should take ,as in bodybuilding,if someone wants to pump up on any type of substance to enable them to go faster ,why do we not encourage them.i would love to

  • watch an athlete who is basically a massive pair of legs (mutated by drug use and training). are we supposed to really believe that athletics is amateur, and clean, grow up , we are all adults and should be allowed to ingest what we want.

  • Florence didnt take steriods it was just her time! Look at Evelyn Ashford back in 1979 (before some of you kids were born):) She lowered her personal best from a 11.16 to 10.97. Then in 1984 at the age of 27 she ran a 10.76! She could of easliy ran in the 10.60's and her former coach Pat agrees with me. Florence improved, from being second best to the top. Another example is tyson gay. Second to Asafa all season last year. Now he's there.

  • If she was clean Berry in 88 what times could she have run with performance enhancing drugs. Surely she could get another 10th at least off her 100m time. She'd then be running 10.4. Sounds a bit ridiculous doesn't it. I'd like ur views on this question Berry, please.

  • Hmmm I really cant say. If I say well a 10.30 then I will be acknowleding that she was on drugs in 88 (which no one can prove that she was). However, you cant give an athlete drugs and then suddenly they become a record breaker.Genetics plays a factor and a plethora of other things. In her case she was second best always comming in second and third and made progess that was overlooked until 1988 when everyone took notice.

  • Damn, relax. You're all over these videos. No one can prove anything- period! Flo Jo was Flo Jo and she was the best!
