@JACPUNK obviously you aint seen the man lately, for you to voice such evil coments, lo que te resulte para el culo es nada mas que tu ignorant opinion as a man who aint seen tha man lately, i,ve seen him in london and sydney and he can sure kick your argentinian $2 dollar arse to hell, buddy EATADICKUPYOUPOOFTER...
DE PARTE DE UN CHILENO EDUCADO.... write back plS so i can kick your $2 DOLLAR ARSE AGAIN, ARGENTINO CULIADO....
me acabo de dar cuenta que sting perdio esa voz que tenia y que ya no puede cantar como antes, todas las versiones actuales de los mejores temas solistas y de the police me resultan para el culo :(
I have a great deal of respect for Stings Bring on the Night Band, but frankly there is not a single line-up of any of Sting's solo bands that has ever even gotten close to capturing the magic of this song as the Police did live back in the 80's...the reunion tour version was a tragic Sting reworking that would have been better left un-played.
this is nice but really got a police feel to it but it comes nowhere near the live blue turtles version from Paris which is also on here. the piano is stunning here but kenny kirkland was really something else on the paris recording
the solo parts are very well played by the rythm group but each solo seems a bit weird at some points in my opinion, too much notes out of scale i think...
Vinnie plays traditional, mostly, and is a Gretsch endorser. Here we have a matched grip drummer and the drums are DW . PLus , let's not forget that Vinnie punched Sting in the face years back (Sting is notorious for being an asshole specially with drummers ...)
It was rumored and said among musicians that Vinnie hit Sting years back ; it's a FACT that Stewart Copeland did the same during the Police years. So , either these two drummers are troublemakers or, more likely Sting is a asshole....
your "Vinnie hasn't played with sting since the 90's...."but everyone can't know all things :-). Vinnie has played again with Sting in 2003 promo tour and so , some special shows with Dom and David since 2009
That isnt vinnie though its Josh Freese. I think sting went the appropriate way by doing what he wants but he doesnt make the same music like dream of the blue turtles, soul cages, ten summoners
you cant say that it is awful.. well thats what i thought until 6:45... but this guy is a great pianist though im shure all of us would rather see the great Kenny Kirkland play his thing! no one works the piano the way kirkland does it!
there is no one like VINNIE@!!!!

I like this one cause its a lot closer to the style that the Police played it.

Sting can put together a great band as well as anyone on this planet. This Jam is outrageous. It simply doesn't get much better than this.

Not bad.
Somehow "Sting" doesn't annoy me as much as "Bono" - these pop singers present themselves as one name Gods.
Is Sting or Bono going to really end hunger and poverty in Africa, make the entire world one as envisioned in John and Yoko's song "Imagine"?
Don't think so.
Just looking for these folks to write and perform some decent tunes.
