  • Schreker was even better than Schönberg...He and Zemlinsky were genious...

Of course all this is subjective...But Schreker operas are great...Schönberg's operas are poor...

    Martin

  • @myaskovsky2002 Well, it's a little difficult to compare, don't you think? Seeing as Schoenberg wrote no tonal operas.

  • In case someone from Berlinphil is reading this:

I am using your digital concert hall and for search I always use your youtube videos (you are probably aware of the fact that it is very annoying to search for let's say Bruckner on your page). You should advertise this methods to your users I thin, it is much more convenient than searching on your page but far from obvious. Unfortunately some of works cannot be found this way because there is no video.

  • @jasha76 Thank you for your interesting comment. Yes, we are aware that the usability of the Digital Concert Hall is far from being perfect in this respect. You will be glad to hear, however, that the Digital Concert Hall is undergoing a profound reconstruction with a comprehensive search function which will be available by end of summer.

  • Absolutely beautiful, reminiscent of Bababooey's "I want you back" concerto, or Sal's "My Wife" Suite. 5 stars!

  • love how all bass players are German bow :)

    no offence to French bow

  • 3 days online and already 200+ viewers... Not bad...

  • French Clarinet??? On Berlin Academy, is this possible??? I didn't know it was possible........ Gives me a little hope... lol

    Amazing Piece!!!! Great job!!!

  • @NiniClarineta @NiniClarineta Nein, mein Freunde. It still is impossible. This clarinet is Austrian. A Gerold Klarinette. Look for it on YouTube. You'll find it as same as this one.

They only accept the german system. The Gerold clarinet just looks like a french clarinet, and it doesn't even have the barrel rings and all.

    Sad.

    We will persevere!

  • Absolutely sublime music, reminiscent of Schoenberg's first works like"Verklärte Nacht" or some passages of "Pelleas et Mélisande".

  • Bravo Joost!!!
