These are very different cars. The SL55 you can drive every day, in all weather, very very comfortably and quietly, and its properly fast with the supercharged motor. It's a great car to actually drive. If I had to drive it every day, I would definitely choose the benzo. If it were a second car, the viper would get a nod. The cars are extremely different, but both pretty crazy for what they are.

I love these programs.

Viper: Hardcore sports coupe. No luxury, no class. Basically a dedicated sports car.

Mercedes SL: Convertible hardtop, luxury car (Massaging seats, navigation, voice activate electronics, intermittent wipers etc...), sedate daily driver (try calling a viper that) as well as being a hair raising beast.

If you can't figure out why the viper is a LITTLE bit faster, your fucking retarded.

I'll take the .4 of a second, to have the luxury, the class.

The Vipers 1.05g skidpad is bad handling? Get your facts straight. The SL65 weighs in at 4494 lbs and has a .93g skidpad. The SL65 VS SRT10 VIPER on a track would be a massacre. Oh and the Viper gets 8 MPG more while dusting the SL65.

The SL's top speed is actually closer to 320. It's limited to 250kph for safety, something this review doesn't feel neccesary to mention. I love both cars though. Considering all the heavy luxury and technology crammed into the Mercedes, I'm not surprised that it doesn't blow the viper away.
