  • What about DietOramy dieting? Have you encountered this? I have obtained it at random by googling around and this solution is just remarkable... So i'm dropping my excess body fat and becoming considerably healthier.

  • "All living bodies subsist on food grains, which are produced from rains. Rains are produced by performance of sacrifice, and yajña is born of prescribed duties". ~ Bhagavad Gita 3.14 Human beings accustomed to eating meat and flesh must also depend on the production of vegetation in order to eat the animals. We have to depend on the production of the field and not on the production of big factories. Field production is due to sufficient rain from the sky, and such rains depend upon praising God

  • We have created a "culture" based on excess. Yes, there is not much hope of that diabetic patient recovering if he stays on a diet that our evil governments promote. No meat, fish, eggs or chicken has gone into my body in over 36 yrs. Mc Donald's is a killer. They kill cows and they kill humans. Meat is for sub-humans. It is not for anyone with a developed conscience. Our leaders are sub humans, so they allow slaughterhouses to prevail, and other sub humans accept this atrocity as normal

  • Useful information... Great! Thank you. I have been a vegan for 15 years. Improvements I experienced proved that this film is right. Actually it is wrong to advice the foods which are the result of suffering of a weaker being (Animals). No one should accept the torture inflicted upon animals when we have plenty of plant based foods, and can have more if we are sharing. God Bless.

  • In this video they are stressing to eat less animal fats and more starch like rice and pasta. Wow! Today they are advising people to refrain from starch and consume more protein, hence the Atkins Diet. Nothing is absolute. Medicine is a science that is continually evolving. it is never absolute, nor does one practice benefit each individual equally.

  • @chrisperdicaro or it could mean that Dr. Atkins was a quack who happened to have all kinds of health problems related to diet.

Atkins helps people loose water weight quickly. Of coarse you'll shed pounds if you cut out carbs, cause look what yer cutting out... soda, cupcakes, cookies, and other junkfood. That alone will help most people loose pounds.

  • what about starch? I understand that starch is high Glycemic index and should be avoided, can anybody explain me that?

  • @aleterra

McDougall is talking about starchy whole foods = all whole grains, potatoes and other roots, beans and legumes, and winter squashes. These foods are what nature intended. People don't get diabetes from eating these foods, including white potatoes (high on the glycemic index). People get diabetes and other ailments from eating junk foods and refined, processed foods... those are the foods that gave starch its bad name. Many doctors are too ignorant of nutrition to know the difference.

  • Hi orrk001, thanks for your answer. I understand what you mean, but the everything is a mess, for example some people say that you should only eat raw food, so potatoes and beans are out. On the other hand if you are a bodybuilder you need a lot of protein, usually whey protein. I am really puzzled about nutrition :(

  • @orrk001 Nature did NOT intend us to eat whole grains. That's ridiculous. They have been mass produced and most produce horrible effects on the intestines.

  • @futoncat

Hi - I cant say it's ridiculous since ancient successful cultures have eaten them.... they have a long track record, the Chinese culture being one example. The real bottom line is not even the science, but to look at the food's track record in history,. Nevertheless, maybe the chinese would have done even BETTER on yams and pumpkin instead!

  • @aleterra Avoid grains and you should be okay. Concentrate on yams, squash, pumpkin, etc.

  • LETS GO EAT SOME HAMBURGERS, gee were gonna have to die anyway, might as well go out happy!!!!!!!!

  • true, we are gonn have to die anyway... but unfortunatly for you... you probably wont die in your sleep or just drop dead... usually you first spend a few years battling a failing body and fighting disease before that happens. not fun.

  • just because i eat hamburgers sometimes doesn't mean i r not healthy, it mean that i enjoy life and i will die with a big ole smile on mah face

  • But what actually IS good for you is cooked or smoked fish *nods*

  • Then you haven't read the studies that say there are alot of concentrated pollutants in fish. The oceans are heavily polluted, too now. And some fish are more heavily contaminated than others and some cooking will intensify the poisons, so read, educate yourselves on these things and always beware and be aware!

  • hahahah, i love that quote, "I'm not gonna die, period!"

    WOW, thats one confident man!

  • looool

  • Hahaha. That's awesome. Totally agree!

  • oh no the chickens!
