One thing people are forgetting is that Kurt Cobain said that his music is "taking a new change of direction" before he died. I believe Kurt did NOT commit suicide. Of course he hated being credited as a "rock star" even though his childhood and teen dream was just this. This song could easily have been a live version of a hit single if Nirvana had recorded an album after In Utero. With the help of a second guitar player Pat Smear, I imagine Kurt would have wanted to experiment with more lead guitar ideas because he said he wanted to go in between the verse chorus verse formula. Love it but don't think it's Nirvana.

The truth is, Nirvana had MORE and BETTER production than this song. You're hearing a song written with multiple guitar parts, not big production. Despite all the layers of gtrs we hear on Nirvana recordings, the gtrs mostly stick with one riff, no counter point. Since they were mostly a trio with one guitarist.

No one in Nirvana ever sounded this way on their instrument. Compared to any official Nirvana studio recordings, this song is very under-produced.
