Kyle only kills one terminator in T4 and that was a trap he set up earlier. if Kyle had 2029 weaponry, he would easily be able to kill that terminator in 1984, he even says himself in T1.

this is why the first movie pwns all other Terminator movies, because alot of it is set in the future and (apart from T4 obviously) the other films don't seem to have these flash backs, (or flash forwards depending on how you look at it) to the future.

These post apocalyptic war zones and fight scenes between the human rebels and the machines are just stunning, I love how the fourth film fits the first one so perfectly, just amazing.
