  • the best salvadoran drum player,

  • pete 'the feet' sandoval

  • That's my photo at 1:09. Taken at the Grindcrusher show in Bradford 89 !

  • this off heretic

  • It's like fucking helicopter !

  • If the sound guy wasnt a douche and just stood there like an ass waiting for him to finish (which im assuming), he could have done the entire soundcheck as he was playing.

  • @shreddmasterj Jesus Christ, it's a joke, this was on the album Heretic and it was titled "Drum Check", it wasn't for a live gig or anything, just some funny filler material for the album.

  • This makes me lol. I have seen this happen irl with Without Grief's drummer, Patrick Johansson, later WASP and Yngwie malmsteen. The sound guy couldnt get the sound right and Patrick got tired of the kick drum and played a freakish solo after wich the sound guy mumbled "I said just the kick..."

  • "Blessed are the Pete Feet"

  • "Alright pete lemme hear your kick drum please" *INSANE DRUM SOLO* ".......ok pete can I just hear your kickdrum please"

    Lmao Classic

  • Pete Sandoval = The Man!

  • shit ya Pete!

  • now... evidence of triggers: feet are cleaner than hands. such a shame... haha

  • I really REALLY want to see video of this.

I know it doesn't exist, but it would justify any qualms about whether God exists or not.

  • Pete you tit, i said your kick..not your kit you deaf twat lol

  • Altars of Sandoval

  • He Is Fucking MOSTER !!!

  • the fastest salvadoran drummer ever,

  • Triggers: Equivalent to a microphone.

Pete is an amazing drummer. This is him just goofing off and it's insane.

  • holyyyyyy...... fucking........ shit. There's too much shit up in this!!

  • god people need to shut the fuck up about triggers, when you trigger a bass drum it makes the sound louder and equalized, you still have to hit the bass drum with force.pete is still one of the most influential death metal drummers, hes been playing since before triggers were used(1986).

  • Is that electric sounding snap what you are referring to as trigger? I know absolutely nothing about drum play.

  • @hevichevi74 Triggers are used to make the bass drums sound "clean" I drum kit without triggers might sound more muddled and hard to understand.

  • @hevichevi74 A trigger is a little sensor put on the drums and tuned to give a specific sound you want, so no mater how hard or soft you hit the drums the same level of sound is output from the mic. kindoff like pressinga button in a way.

  • he's a beast!!!

  • @ metacholic. But it has no rhythm what so ever. Haha Lmao just saying.

  • He is a sub-machine gun.

  • Strike of the fuckin beast !

  • Inferno from behemoth solo is faster !!!

  • @metacholic This is a @sound check@ not a drum solo :D

  • @metacholic Frost,Inferno and Pete are my 3 favourite drummers all of them are insanely good

  • sandoval with or without triggers is a great musician . respects from PANAMA

  • @eloyhbermudez hell yeah

  • nice

  • i'm now late for work after watching all of petes drum videos!

  • HE ISNT OUT OF MORBID ANGEL HES STILL MESSED UP I THINK THEREPY AND SHIT,OR MAYBE HE IS

  • Explain to a non-drummer what triggers are please :) Should i be less impressed by this piece because of 'triggers'? Don't know what they are!

  • @bouffslave

    /watch?v=p4NQO5gofrg

Some use 'em so they can play lighter and still get a loud sound. Playing lighter usually means playing faster. Others use 'em to just get a good, consistent sound, like this guy says, or as a backup if the drum mics fail.

  • @bouffslave

Triggers enhance the sound of the drums. They in no way take a way from a drummers performance... Triggers help the sound. They have nothing to do with the drummers ability. But using triggers can sometimes "sterilize" the sound because it doesn't have the natural organic sound of a drumkit.

  • LOL this is speed up

  • @AQganon i know that pete is an amazing drummer and i really like him, but if you hear the voice and the guitar on the intro you can easily hear that is speed up, (sorry for the english)

  • @ThEpUrEfUcKiNmEtAl It isn't sped up. The voice is normal. The guitarists are warming up, and there is a lot of echo.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<3 DAMN

  • Too good for MA

  • thanks pete.

now let me hear your cowbell please

  • He did the right thing for leaving Morbid Angel... Long live Pete the Feet! \m/

  • @kalmametallinen He did not leave, he is out from a back surgery.

  • @AQganon Yes, he did. Officially, he left the bend.

  • get well soon!! Pete Sandoval Commando!

  • for those who need proof, put in virgil donati single stroke rolls, you'll fry your brain...then watch other vids of him, he is not of this earth, no one should be able to do what he does, but that doesn't diminish monsters like Pete for one second , he's fantastic...and if I can be a wee bit spiteful, I always hated Lars drumming, so I'm glad these guys make him seem like a girl snail...lol..

  • Even if you're not a death/ black or any metal head, the genre absolutely raised the bar forever in drumming...when I got this on a cassette tape 12 years ago I had to sit down, fucking amazing....and all these knockoffs want the credit...kids think Joey from SN invented this shit, they're nuts, the best speed metal drummers get no credit..the only drummer who has faster feet and hands than Pete is Virgil Donati, and he's not human...Pete Sandoval, you are a drum god to those who know drums...

  • whoever disliked this vid is a sick fuck and should die in a ditch, this is amazing :D

  • @joshnjay69 The nine dislikes were probably his sound crew.

  • @joshnjay69 The nine dislikes are probably deaf!!! INDEED!!!

This is AWESOME!!! Pete Commando Sandoval is one of the BEST drummers!! EVERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

  • @joshnjay69 i herd better with out triggers -___-

  • Pete the Fuckin Feet!

  • too much trigger!!!!

  • @LostRules88

Only trigger actually. Except cymbals. The toms sound is terrible...

  • @rhorschack his cymbals do sound triggerd though -___-

  • @LostRules88 whats wrong with trigger

  • @LostRules88 faggot , trigger is so you can hear it~ that is all

  • @nmistique, nope its 100% human right there

  • the best drummer in the world and my country(el salvador)

  • holy horse shit

  • this is a machine!!!!

  • How can someone dislike this?????

  • holy shit fuck

  • @ericsyre It was a drum check.

  • Pete is a fucking human drum machine. Easilly number 1 in my eyes.

  • He has devil feet!

  • petes a bad ass

  • triggers

  • "now can i hear JUST your kick drum please?"

  • My ears cannot comprehend the speed....

  • HUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA VAI PETE

  • HIS HANDS..MUST BE VIBRATING OR SOME SHIT LIKE THAT

  • great now i got a boner

  • Amazing blasts!!! Stupid sound guy though.

  • @JohnThePecan you thought that was an actual sound guy

  • @mackhomie not...it was a joke dude!!

  • holy shit fuck

  • He can't play this fast anymore, but it doesn't matter because this IS HIS LEGACY

  • no affenc he is good but i know he is high

  • @bloodfarts991 i took 'affenc' only to your spelling

  • HOLY BLAST BEATS BATMAN!

  • God! God! God! It's fucking unbelievable!!!

  • EL SALVADOR

  • Ok Pete.

  • My God, his double bass technique sounds like a machine gun going off!

  • Pete "the god" Sandoval, aguanten hijos de puta!!!!!!!!!

  • Those triggered toms sound really stupid. Otherwise, what a drummer.

  • Ahahahahahaha :D Go see Morbid Angel live and then talk crap! :D Or just see any modern death metal band! :) Then you can tell that REALITY is speed-up-ed. Which is a well known fact. :D

  • @impenitencebg I was not talking crap. The original poster admitted twice that he sped up the audio. The end.

  • @DJstoopnig No, asshole, he said he changed the pitch. Not the tempo, or speed. And this is, in fact, the album version, same tempo, just a higher pitch. This is not sped up you are a fucking retard.

  • @tokinace Wow, thanks for overreacting for no reason whatsoever. Slaytallica changed the pitch by changing the tempo. If you record the audio and then open it in Audacity and restore it to the proper tempo (-10%) you will see that the overall length of the track is changed only slightly. This is very similar to the tempo of the original recording, but it is in fact sped up. Get Audacity. Try it. See that you're wrong. Then go hang yourself. Thanks.

  • nope its not fake !!! pete is that good!!! seen him mess around at Thoroughbred music yeeeeears ago.....love this guy

  • es verdadero no sean estupidos es que no tienen el disco Heretic de Morbid Angel estupidos no tienen mas de que hablar solo decir esta truqeado

  • Haha I remember listening to this in the Heretic album lol

    So awesome

  • BEST SALVADORAN DRUMMER!!!! ENOUGH SAID.

  • Il miglior batterista di sempre!

  • Look, this is fake. You can tell by the guy's voice that the recording has been sped up. Sorry, but it's the truth.

  • @DJstoopnig this video is not fake if you lok at other videos of this exact drum solo they will all be at the same speed

  • @slaytallica1981 yeah, I'm sure the guy is fast. But I don't think a heavy metal drummer would have his kick drums tuned that high, plus the guys voice is definitely pitch shifted and the cymbals seem truncated. I really think that this particular audio track was sped up. Do you have a link to an actual video of him playing a drum soslo that fast?

  • @DJstoopnig the reason why the pitch is different is because I had to change it so there woud be no copyright and youtube would not mute my video. It has happened before so i just changed it so youtube would not recognize it. If you just type in "morbid angel - drum check" you will see that they are all on the same speed they even put it on one of there albums.

  • @DJstoopnig 1. Search about drum triggers and what it's use in music, especially in extreme metal and why it has that "clicky sound". 2. He play drums in his band fast as this drum solo. 3. The cymbals are recorded like that, are not truncated.

  • @rapechristian Look, if you read the OP's response to me HE ADMITS TWICE that he sped up the recording. End of story. There you have it. But if you still don't believe me then record the audio from this video and open it in an audio editing program like Audacity. Highlight the track and select CHANGE SPEED. Slow it down to -10% and viola! The guy's voice is normal, the drums and cymbols are normal, and the guy noodling on the guitar is in TUNE. Not trying to be a jerk; just being honest.

  • @DJstoopnig yes maybe it's speed up... but a death metal drummer liike pete sandoval can play this and drummers like george kollias derek roddy and others can play it faster.

  • @ThEpUrEfUcKiNmEtAl Yeah those guys are all really talented. No argument there!

  • @DJstoopnig this is not his actual drumsound. he uses triggers on all his drumheads and i'd say that 80% of the sound you`re hearing comes from the drum module. that doesn't say that he isn't fast. he can play the notes that fast and this solo, but it's like an e- drum that he plays there you know. :)

  • @LHondrums That's all well and good and I'm agreeing that he's fast. But the point is that the audio on this particular video was sped up by ten percent. That's all I'm saying, and slaytallica1981 even admitted that he did so. When you slow the clip down by ten percent it's still really fast and the whole segment is only like maybe two seconds longer at the proper speed. So yeah, trigger or not he's still an amazing drummer, even though this clip is a bit misleading.

  • @DJstoopnig your fucking ignorant. pete is one of the pioneering death metal drummers. he basiclly invted this shit. back in the day the band would tease him and say he was slow. one day they played a track made by a drum machine saying they were going to replace him with that, pete got jelous and began to train for hours on hours working on speed, the band would go into the studio finding pete passed out in a pool of his own sweat. go learn your shit before you comment.

  • @XxAstroxZombiesxX Wow, thanks for embarassing yourself by showing the world that you are not only too stupid to type, but you are also too dumb to read everything before you post on youtube. Look, all I said was that this particular audio track was sped up, which it was. The guy who posted it admitted to that TWICE, adding that he only sped up the audio so that it would pass Youtube's copyright censors. So it's more like YOU need to learn YOUR shit before YOU comment.

  • @DJstoopnigThere are drummers faster than Pete Sandoval, you have to watch videos of George Kollias to see if you say that the video is accelerated

  • @DJstoopnig u are kidding right? lol u want kick drums to be very loud? listen to krisiun ageless venemous.. and tell me about loud kick drums Pete is one of the best death metal drummers.. he used to have a single kick drum learned double bass in a month for an album...

  • @CannabisGirl420 Yes, Pete is one of the best death metal drummers around. i never said anything bad about him. I also never said anything about drum volume. So...uh...what was your point?

  • @DJstoopnig

i have seen this band over a dozen times.... trust me/us when we tell you... this is the real deal

  • @dmb912002 No one is denying that he can play this fast. All I said was that Slaytallica1981 altered the pitch of this audio before posting it on Youtube. Then he admitted to doing so (not once, but twice). It is NOT real, and you are wrong. The end.

  • @DJstoopnig I love how you call every one a retard and say they should read your comments before posting one.... You should do the same because in my original responce you will see that I never mentioned anything about the speed only the pitch. I changed it so it would not be censored. So please stop stiring up shit and watch the fucking video .

  • @slaytallica1981 Look, all I'm doing is responding to the stupid messages that people send to me, so I'm not "Stirring up shit"; I'm simply telling the truth. By the way, what program did you use to alter the pitch?

  • @DJstoopnig I used audacity 1.3 beta

there was no 10% change this program work with letters not numbers

  • @DJstoopnig you sir, are actually the biggest idiot on youtube

  • @DJstoopnig This isnt fake asshole!! I have this song on my ipod, sounds exactly the same. Its from their Heretic album, and believe it or not theres faster drummers out there. Check out George Kollias from Nile or Inferno from Behemoth. Obviously it seems like you dont know a thing about death metal dumming

  • @Headbanger9000 Wow thanks for completely over reacting for no reason. Anyway, I agree that Pete is talented and very fast. All I said was that this particular audio track was sped up, and even the guy who posted this video admitted twice that he sped it up. The end. You're wrong. Next time do some reading before you accuse people of things, mmmkay?

  • @DJstoopnig

i guess you have never heard him live...

  • @ddSaKi No, I haven't heard him live but I bet he's awesome. No one is denying that he can play as fast as he does in this recording. All I'm saying is that the original poster sped up the audio by ten percent before he put this video on youtube. If you read his comments to me you will see that he did in fact speed up the audio (he admits it twice). That's all. The end.

  • @DJstoopnig Okay let me bring common MUSIC knowledge to your attention good sir.. Ever heard of triggers? Yeah death metal drummers use them to get that really high pitch sound why? because drums don't have tone. It's on one of their albums. Oh yeah and this is his speed. Think otherwise? Listen to a morbid angel song. Seriously man the guy's been the death metal game since the 80's. The guy's voice yeah it's high pitch but some people do have a high pitch voice.

  • @DJstoopnig The solo at the begaining was from a song titled "secured limitations" his guitar sounded tuned to me oh and it's in Bb, because you know Trey uses a 7 string. And it didn't sound dragonforced he uploaded it and it changed the audio quality big deal download the album or BUY it and listen.

  • @tylerkylezeke 1. I never said Pete wasn't capable of playing at that speed, so trying to prove that he's fast has nothing to do with what I posted and will only highlight your ignorance. 2. Take the audio from this video and open it in Audacity. Highlight the track and select CHANGE PITCH -10%. You will see that the overall speed of the wav is barely changed (therefore it sounds like the album speed) . 3. Go back and read what I first posted and realize that you're an imibicile. 4. Die.

  • @DJstoopnig Sorry for the problems? Nice to know you and my brother had a little agressive battle going on. But saying someone should die that you don't even know is a wee bit extreme. I understand your all angry man but sheesh lol.

  • @tylerkylezeke Are you still alive? I thought I told you to die.

  • Fucking beast

  • @syclone1931 damn just calm the fuck down... no one gives a shit. So what he uses triggered toms. Everyone here thinks they're great. Get a life troll.

  • I know just a couple drummers who cpould play so fast, Nicholas Barker, Hellhammer, Frost, Kai Hahto, Beast Dominator

  • the triggered toms just sound silly... or at least the settings he's using do. All the more reason you have to give it up to Gus Rios from Malevolent Creation. His tracks on Invidious Dominion are all natural with no edits and sound amazing!

  • @syclone1931 ...who gives a shit,can u do that??? all drummers have thier ups n downs,takes a piece o shit to bash a drum God.ur a joke

  • @yorktoncotereserve hahaha seriously? What is Pete your dad? Look how offended you got by me saying triggered toms sound silly haha. Jumping to conclusions like a jealous girlfriend. Where in my comment do I bash Pete? All I said is natural drums sound better than triggered drums. Who said anything about drummers having ups and downs? WTF does that even mean?

  • Those kick drums sound like machine gun fire!

  • salvadoreno el tenia que ser el cerote, the fastest drummer is salvadoran, hell yeah

    cool video bro

  • Hahahaha the ending may have been the best part.

  • @puppetgovernmentlv awesome. btw i dont understand what the fuck it is with drummers always being criticized for using triggers. i dont get what it is about triggers that would make a drummer suck. how does that shit affect true talent? lol

  • @metalhammer104 Triggers don't make a drummer suck, they limit the player from showing his/her subtle and delicate skills. It doesn't matter very much in most metal, but have a jazzdrummer or a funkdrummer play triggers and it just doesn't work. It'd be like playing a guitar where your personal touch wouldn't matter since playing a string on a fret would always produce the same sound. Or like playing a synth without velocity touch. You get the idea?

  • @JWXendra i get it. but in terms of kick drums, its not like volume and pitch would really matter.

  • una maquina o que?

  • George kollias pwns this guy.

  • @kpillo4

Can George Kollais play faster than a drum machine? ;)

Don't get me wrong George is great but Pete is the best, IMO

  • How the hell can he keep that up for soooo long???

  • @dhenizzle He's actually an alien with 4 feet.

  • VIVA EL SALVADOR CABRONES!!!

  • @Elpuas00 Fuck El Salvador, puto!

  • holy shit how'd pete get that machine gun kick drum tone?

  • @metalhammer104 do not think he will suck, but i think it is drum trigger and that because to get best sound from drums, not cheat.

  • Fuckking shitt! Pete Sandoval is such a badass!!

  • @dreadss64 he turned a simple drum check into a solo i am sorry if you dissagree

  • isn't a drum solo..is a drum check!!

  • Amazing drum solo.Nice speed.

  • this is incredible

  • That's fuckin' funny."Ok Pete, now can I just hear your kick drum please?"Sounded like a pretty good drum check to me.Heard the whole kit, good mix.

  • 1:24 Barney and Mitch!

  • caraca vei mto loko....
