The EU has become the new EUSSR, big `super` unions like the USA will only function if the people of that `super union` actually want it. It requires a single currency with the same business tax level throughout that currency area. There can be a `small` difference in tax level (as in federal USA),however,taxation must be at a `similar` level to avoid "financial transition". this US model is not going to work in the EU as we are `nations` in our own right. We are better suited to `free trade`

A not well informed EU citizen would say "I am in favour of the Union" giving as a response that now they are free to travel around in the eu zone without conditions, and they use euros.... no more arguments...

Outside the EU access for a country's products and services is governed only by GATT or the EEA agreement at best, which are quite weak agreements, not to mention that products would nevertheless have to comply with EU directives to get access onto the EU's markets.
