  • How to Cook the pasta: 1) Boil water and add salt 2) when it boils, add the pasta 3) look on the wrapper and the pasta to cook 4) taste the pasta 5) Do not let it dry otherwise it becomes too sticky. 6) add to the sauce

  • Hello, excuse for my English (is Italian) but I wanted consigliarti on as to cook the paste. Mistakes method: it is not put l' warm water over and lets thus, otherwise becomes of rubber. Before l' water knows it and it is made to bubble, then " butta" the paste and is made to cook but not too much, to the just point thus to remain to the tooth otherwise it becomes too much dry motivating force and. I hope of esserti be useful.

  • It looks great, and might probably taste delicious except for the cherry tomatoes

Going to the mall tomorrow to get the ingredients

  • @PowerCrumb45

Good luck with the mac & cheese and I hope it taste good for you :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Well here's the thing ONC, I can't bring myself to swallow the dry pasta anymore when I can get the fresh for about $2. It's soft and I don't think it would withstand the 20 mins at 400F. It getss ready in about 3. So the conundrum. What say you?

I just got the mushrooms and bacon and x-tra milk for the sauce but will not pop in oven. Also didn't see the chorizo for the soup potato bay leaf chorizo, but maybe look again.

    Best

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef

    nytime sir... :)

  • you should try it with american chedder not as good as english chedder but it tastes great with the sauce

  • @Ericules555

I am sure the American version of Cheddar is very nice :)

  • we got the macaroni elbow noodles mostly, and your cooking fancy mac n cheese, normally basic is small elbow noodles with fake cheese smothered on it haha but yours is good

  • @Ericules555

elbow macaroni is good as it holds some of the sauce inside.. Glad you like my version :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @Ericules555 Not sure where you are from I am in the states but married to an italian so have true appreciation for pasta. I often use Penne or Rigatoni for Mac N Cheese of coure the American boxed kind is normal the elbow type which works too. What you want with this type sause ether way is a tubular type of pasta which all the above are to soak in the middle of it. I find pasta and all the shapes facinating and done for a reason depending on the sause using.

  • @cozzyk that sounds awesome, i can only afford to make crappy 1 dollar store mac n cheese, n i live in the state the US hates the most because my sheriff is a complete dumbass racist along with a brain dead gov.

  • we got a nick name for something like this at home, we call it the heaven's heart attack, Having said that may i point out that the pasta is swimming in sauce.

  • I don't have any bay leaves either.

Aren't those just a side option? (i.e you can choose to put them in or not)

I don't see what type of taste they bring though to be honest..... hardly any!

  • @littlemissjaded12345

Dont worry if you have no bay leaves. They add flavour but they are not essential.

  • @GGgooH

    Hi.

Same here. I don't have any Ceyenne or Black Pepper either. :-/

I'm pretty sure they're all sold in our local supermarkets though.

So I guess I know what I'll be doing to get them. 8)

  • Is it just me, or did anyone else think that those red things at 0:01 looked more like strawberries than tomatoes?? :p (EWWW!! Yuckeee combination!)

They looked like they had those little yellow speckles on them that you see on strawberries! :p

  • @GGgooH

    Hi GGgooH

You can leave the mustard powder out if you want :)

    OriginalNakedChef

    OriginalNakedChef

  • I know how to make quick mac and cheese.

simmer the pasta for 12minutes, whack heaps of grated cheese on top. Pop it in the microwave for 1,30 mins on 850W. wallah! As simple mac and cheese as you can get.

  • @0wnUr3Fac3

Thats sounds pretty quick to me. If it taste good then you have a winner :)

Thanks for dropping in, the comms and for subbing!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @0wnUr3Fac3 But(t), how do ya scrap the residue cheese, and pasta, out of the micro?...OR, do you put IT in a micro-safe bowl...with, with a cover! Yes, that must be spot on, what? [TIC:)]

  • @zuzulo56 Just eat it out of the microwave, not going to hurt anyone.

  • @0wnUr3Fac3 I like the cut of your jib! I say, would you be up to ringing me wife up some time, explaining the proper manner in dining out of a microwave? What bloody harm ('arm) could the wee woman so ya o'er the phone...what?

  • That looks so good... It's just to time consuming for me. D:

  • @TeeOnKnee

Thanks for watching and I will keep that in mind for some future dishes :)

  • this looks amazing....definitely my lack of cheese sauce skills but my came out really "floury"! Any suggestions?

  • @allendg1983

Thanks for the comms and sorry to hear the sauce was floury.

My suggestion is to cook the roux (flour and butter for longer) Maybe reduce the heat when cooking the roux so you can cook for longer without the roux becoming dark.

Hopefully that will cure the floury problem.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • I am making this tonight definitally but my oven is broken so I will do it in the pot away to cook my macaroni see you on the next video :D

  • @rboiiz999

Thats a real shame about your oven. Hopefully that get sorted out soon.

Enjoy your mac and cheese and hopefully hear from you on the next vids.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef i made the mac and cheese and my familey said it was the best theve ever tasted cheers :D

  • @rboiiz999

    Thats great!

I try my best and it's nice to hear satisfied customers.

I guess as your oven is broken you made it in the pot?

Appreciate you letting me know how it tasted and pleased it was a big sucess!

    OriginalNakedChef :)

  • i just ate dinner and now im hungry again.....

  • @realtvfan18

    Thanks for the comms :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • It's 1:15 AM my time and I'm watching your videos because they're just that worth it. :)

  • @elphaba1300

    Hi elphaba1300,

I dont know if you are still awake watch the food vids, if so you must be getting pretty hungry by now!

Thanks for the kind comments, much appreciated.

    OriginalNakedChef :)

  • Thanks for another great post! I made this for dinner yesterday, and the mustard and cayenne really gave it that extra oomph. (I might use a bit less cayenne next time though). Also I managed to throw in the tomatoes (from my yard) that exploded in the rain in the last days. All very best to you...

  • @vivch22

Its always nice to hear that people cook the food recipes I put out. I do like it with the mustard and cayenne, as you say it gives it some oomph!

Ref the tomatoes, its so annoying when the juicy red tomatoes explode in the rain.

Thank you for the comments and the very best to you to :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • mmm that looks so good! Are you from yorkshire?

  • @glinda888

    Hi Glinda888,

Appreciate the comms and for subbing!

    I am from London.

    OriginalNakedChef :)

  • Aaah bud, I'd LOVE to taste that, looks illegally delicious.

  • @sarelle500gr

    Hi Sarelle500gr,

Nice of you to drop in and always appreciated. If you decide to try it, hopefully it meets your expectations!

I thought it was really tasty!

  • This looks really nice, but it looks like what we used to call "Yankee Macaroni" when I was growing up!!! Look on here and see if you can find a recipe that calls for eggs rather than using a roux- it sets up kind of like a custard, and your cheese won't seize up. Believe it or not, my favorite ones are made in a slow cooker (crock pot)! I used to make it for my family when I lived over in England.

  • @mommafletch

    Hi momma fletch,

It sounds like know your macaroni. There are many versions of macaroni, next time I decide to make a macaroni video I may try the version with eggs. Thanks for the comms always appreciated. Original Naked Chef

  • Another amazing recipe! Thank you! It looks amazing!

  • @jvalentine07

Thanks for the comms and Its always nice to know that viewers enjoy what I do :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • your great! i use all your vidios to learn how to cook for my nana and grandad :) thank you!

  • @roxannechapman123

Thats really nice to know, I hope your nana and grandad are enjoying the recipes.

Thanks for trying the recipes and for the comms :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • oh that looks really nice and i always wanted to know how to make this too so thanks for uploading this one :)

  • @hazging

Thanks for your comms and you are welcome!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • The bacon you use, is it back bacon or peameal bacon, it looks quite lean, not the the regular bacon most people in North America cook up for breakfast made from pork belly?????

  • @westislandkev

    Hi there

I normally use back bacon and you can remove the fat.

  • Why do click these videos when I'm hungry? : (

British bacon looks a lot leaner than american

  • @oekakinin

Thats the best time to watch, when your hungry.

The problem comes when you realize you have not got any food to cook :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef That's completely true. It doesn't help when I watch you sample the food and you're smacking your lips, saying how delicious it is.

  • @oekakinin

The smaking of the lips bit at the end, I enjoy that bit!. Its nice that you enjoy the vids enough to watch them until the end :)

  • @OriginalNakedChef haha Graham Kerr used to have his audience salivating like Pavlovian dogs with his sensual food tasting, I think we all like to hear cooks tasting their food, I do too that's for sure....it's the sound of pleasure.

  • Rigth :D

  • dude i think you are a little obsessed with the word 'Nice'!

  • @TheJonix55

    You could be right!

I will keep an eye on that.

  • from Ochef.com A roux, as you know, is a cooked mixture of generally equal parts flour and butter, that is used to thicken soups, sauces, and stews. The butter is melted gently, the flour is added, and the mixture is stirred and cooked over medium heat to remove the taste of the uncooked flour and to begin the roux’s thickening process. The longer you cook, the darker it becomes, 2 Tbsp of butter and flour for 2 mins, you’ll have a white roux; if you cook them for 4 mins it will be brown.

  • @westislandkev

Thanks for that. All useful info :)

  • @OriginalNakedChef you are most welcome, I have always been fascinated by the thickening powers of a simple butter/flour roux and thought this info I found might help others discover it too. THe first time I used it was to make a mac&cheese with some extra old sharp white cheddar, a friends mom used to make when I was a teenager and she is the one who sparked my interst in the roux. Her macaroni and cheese was simple and awesome. Your vid made me think of those good times. :)

  • yummi thanks for sharing the rechipe..gonna make it for dinner...you ROCKSSS...

  • @LASMA4

Thanks for that much appreciated :)) I hope you enjoy the recipe.

    Enjoy!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • great job. the inclusion of the bacon, onion, tomatoes and mushrooms really completes it. perhaps some breadcrumbs on top before baking too. the sauce at the beginning is similar to a bechamel.

  • @kumquatsta

I had it in my mind to use some breadcrumbs as you suggest. It went clean out of my mind.

The inclusion of bacon, tomatos, onions and mushrooms does make the dish more interesting than the standard mac & cheese. The white cheesy sauce is as you say similar to becahmel and easy to make. Using mature cheese in the sauce is nice gives it a nice flavour.

  • Yay dream come true! its just like a casserole :D

  • @MoonlightEXE

Talking of casseroles, I just made a Steak and Ale pie :)

    Tasted great!

    originalNakedChef

  • I don't even like macaroni and cheese, but you make it looks soooo delicious!!! Nice job!

  • @CottonDooda

If you ever decide to try and mac & Cheese, try this one out :)

Its nice that my subscribers like you all take the trouble to comment on my vids.

Its what makes it all worth it. :)

    Thanks OriginalNakedChef

  • That look so good and
