Nice, but like others have stated. Full of incorrect statements. Most places say it was 19 ships for one thing, not hundreds as you state. 19 is plenty for one Fort to be destroyed. In fact it already is overkill by the British. Like others have said I have read that Key and partner were there to sucure the release of one man not the whole of the prisoners as is stated. I also have read nowhere of the flag being held up by anyone. Doing so puts it more in mans hand than it should be.

There were no women or children in the fort.

There were 16 British ships, not hundreds.

The flag pole was 89 feet high. The big flag measured 30 by 42.The storm flag was 17 by 25 feet. They could not be held up by hand, or by a pile of bodies.

Key was sent to secure the release of one man. Key didn’t relay info to the “cargo hold full of humanity”.

These are just a few of the inaccuracies.

Tell the real story of the Battle of Baltimore, the battle on North Point, the defenses that stretched from Fell's Point to the area around Belair Road and the Navy gunners who manned the artillery positions along that line, the fact that during the bombardment the fort flew their storm flag measuriing 17'x25' and only raised the flag that people see at the Smithsonian (measuring 42'x30') as the British were withdrawing. Tell the truth!

Everybody, including me, stood, and we listened to one of the most beautiful renditions of the Star Spangled Banner I have ever heard.
