I bought the Flip Ultra HD 3 after seeing your review and the video you shot with the camera,....I'm having big trouble with the videos being blurry and not clear, nothing like your shots (at all). i have the minoHD 3rd generation. I just recieved it a few hours ago. It was only 70 dollars. (its the ugly silver one) It's charging via USB. the red light is on. but no driver software has appeared on my computer. it won't turn on either. this is taking a long time to charge. is that normal?

@wowiewowwow99 It just depends on what you want, if you shoot out in field such as hiking and kayaking and outdoor activities, I would go with the 2 hr. but if you are close to home and can get your camera to the computer to dump your files to it and make room for new ones you won't need the extra space. If you have the option to get the extra memory, I would go for it, no one complains of having to much memory!

Thanks for the thorough review. I volunteer with a non-profit organization and we are thinking about purchasing a Flip. Given that Cisco just axed this product, do you think it is worth while to purchase this model with the Flip Port for accessories that may no longer be in production?

@mksisler11 I'm pretty sure that the accessories that were going to be produced have now been canceled. So the FlipPort isn't important. However the image stabilization and AAA batteries are.

@DemonHide You plug the Flip into your computer with the battery pack and the pack chargers. You'll notice that the Flip screen lights up and indicates the amount of charge when it's plugged into the computer.

Nice to know that they made the 3rd gen Ultra slimmer than the previous model. That's been one of the reasons why I haven't been too interested in the Ultras in the past. Now that they've slimmed it down some, I might check into getting one. My old Flip Mino (2-3 years old) died a couple of months ago and I've been wanting one of the new ones. I might just go with an Ultra after I check into the quality of the external mics, although the Mino's are still slightly more appealing. We'll see.
