"In 2001, Gabriel did an experiment at Georgia State University where he tried to teach 12 Bonobo Apes to play keyboards. No word on whether the monkeys were shocked."... "The monkey is a metaphor for jealousy according to Gabriel. So, the monkey is not addiction, but the monkey within you, the primal emotional responses, it seems. Our inner primate if you will." After all these years!
back in 82 when my son was 2 he had this crazy obsession with this song. i had it on a 45 and had to play it 30 times a day. i wonder if it is played backwards it says"get your parents to play it again, again, again," lol
I would agree with nightsaturn. Security is one of the best albums ever. Not just because it's Peter Gabriel. It's just an amazing album that was a pioneer among albums in general. I wish they would release a remastered version of it with better quality of recording and sound.

Jesus. I was 18 when I thumbed to the city to see Peter. Nearly 30 years later. Wow.

I'd prefer to go back to 1974, and revisit watching him perform with Genesis.
That spoiled live concerts for me until I saw Supertramp in their Crime of Century tour.

I'll give a million dollars to the first person who can transport me back in time to see PG perform in 1983. I envy every single one of you there!

rocketman, expert on audio quality...
It's called a BOOTLEG. Something we will never see. So we, us regula folk, look past the lack of quality.

Tony Levin playing Chapman Stick for the bass part. One of the most famous bass lines of all time... and it's not a bass.
