And no i had a parakeet before the cockatiel and i had better luck with her so i had to bring it back, im not going to have a bird thats mean and agressive. And first of all humans and birds are different okay, i have friends adhd and their way more tame than that bird. Even the woman when we braught her back said it wasnt very nice, so get over yourself.

@vampirexfreakxlove - Sounds like you either had bad advice to start with to get a tiel, or you didn't start out with a tame bird, or you were to agressive with the tiel - they are flighty and easily scared little things who don't really like to be touched except for when they want to be scritched or have a snuggle. Sounds like Keets are a better fit for you.

It's not a female, it's male and someone needs a lesson in the proper way to trim flight feathers. The behavior you are seeing is mating behavior and yes, it can be displayed towards any type of object that is a favorite of the bird. A perch, a toy or any food item, just to mention a few.

@Iranitas actually, its a cockatiel, not a cockatoo. cockatoo's are the big white birds with the yellow head feathers on top.

@verticalsmurf no, their are indeed both parrots, but you dont call a macaw a cockatoo do you? no, you donty. they have seperate names because they have different apperences. the small ones are cockaTIELS the big ones are cockaTOOS. 2 different apperences. cocka toos are just white and yellow, and dont have any patterns, and cockatiels however range in patterns from just white, to gray, to gray and white, to yellow and white, dolmation and alot others. so there. im right, your wrong.
