The Nintendo Wii is a technological breakthough in gaming. I think it is a brilliant idea and concept. I strongly disagree with some of your comments, and this video quite frankly. I do think that Wii Music is a great game, and It features some of Nintendo's greatest songs.
Many people just don't like Wii because they either have never experienced wii and are closed minded, or they are jealous they didn't come up with anything near as great.
Technological breakthrough? No it isn't by ANY means, it's the marketing bullshit and grab-by-the-balls "You will buy this because WE TOLD YOU TO and you're a casual now" campaign that they run that people think this.
Motion sensoring has NOT been new at all for years. Having a great system should have great games, but instead you have shitloads of shovelware and a FEW great games.

And Sega and Nintendo had been working on Sonic and Mario at the olympics and Sega said use Sonic in Brawl. Did you complain when Super Mario Bros was the best selling game ever? It was also packaged with systems. If it was a terrible system, people would return it in droves. And still, motion control is MORE PRECISE than an analog stick, like how, for now, a mouse is just a bit more precise than motion control
I'm sorry it's too complicated for you. Selecting sensor-bar location is a tough thing. I myself couldn't beat MP3 because it was SOOOOOOOO hard to be precise in my aiming. (Sarcasm again kids) I'll admit some of the motion sensors are a bit off, hence the Wii Motion + coming out to fine tune the technology, but the pointer is dead on accurate. I don't know why you can't make it work properly. Maybe I can because I'm trained to hold a rifle steady and kill people, IDK.
Graphics aren't everything being our first and probably only response huh? How about the fact that Wii controls are more precise than dual analog sticks, rendering them as outdated as they made D-pads. The fact that the online service is free, and the games are a fair price. The fact that there are amazing Wii-Ware games that surpass the quality of other systems new download-able games and don't need achievements. The more advanced controller is cheaper than the less advanced controllers, etc...

You're right. Even Gamecube had more good games than the Wii right now. I remember being excited for alot of Gamecube games, but for the Wii, I can only say I truly liked a few. And for people who think Wii controls are easy to learn...they're effing hard and sometimes unresponsive! Have you played Dragonball Z: BT3 or the Wii Wheel with Mario Kart? I always find myself using the Gamecube controller whenever I can anyways, it just feels more natural.
I was being a smart ass about the Wii not having good games. There are plenty of good games besides the ones Nintendo make. Especially what's coming up. Conduit,Madworld,NoMoreHeroes2 etc. I am better at Mario Kart with the Wii wheel myself. The controls themselves are not hard.if the company does not properly utilize them, gameplay can suffer. If you like anime fighting games, check out Bleach, it plays great with wii controls. Don't believe naysayers that are mad a "casual" console is winning.

I normally like rhythm games like Beatmania and DDR, but dang this game just sucks big time. The biggest selling point of the Wii is that is has games for everyone, but that's also its biggest drawback.

The Nintendo Wii is a technological breakthough in gaming. I think it is a brilliant idea and concept. I strongly disagree with some of your comments, and this video quite frankly. I do think that Wii Music is a great game, and It features some of Nintendo's greatest songs.
Many people just don't like Wii because they either have never experienced wii and are closed minded, or they are jealous they didn't come up with anything near as great.

Motion sensoring has NOT been new at all for years. Having a great system should have great games, but instead you have shitloads of shovelware and a FEW great games.

The store is nifty, and heck, they have Vectorman; a Genesis classic I want to play when I buy a Wii........which'll be awhile.
But their promise on the expansive store and its choices is one of the things they've completely forgotten about and it's nearly 3 years old! Also, when they at least promise to give quality download games, they should stop handing out shovelware downloadables like "Super Golf" that no one will want for ANY number of Wii Points. I wish as a gamer they would expand.

Brawl was released so easily because only Sonic, Shadow, Snake and Grey Fox were NON NINTENDO characters. Hideo Kojima begged Nintendo to include Snake in SSBM, but it was too late, so they had permission to use Snake 7 years ago. And Sega and Nintendo had been working on Sonic and Mario at the olympics and Sega said use Sonic in Brawl. Other than movies and XBOX games, Nintendo online offers ALL of the other content now, or will be included in impending games,like The Conduit etc.Still baseless

Wii Sports was put out to be the best selling game and then told about how great it is. But is it really that accurate to call it as such when you have NO CHOICE to buy it because it comes packaged with the consoles? No. It's not because you're not really giving consumers a choice in the matter.

I'm sorry it's too complicated for you. Selecting sensor-bar location is a tough thing. I myself couldn't beat MP3 because it was SOOOOOOOO hard to be precise in my aiming. (Sarcasm again kids) I'll admit some of the motion sensors are a bit off, hence the Wii Motion + coming out to fine tune the technology, but the pointer is dead on accurate. I don't know why you can't make it work properly. Maybe I can because I'm trained to hold a rifle steady and kill people, IDK.

How about the fact that Wii controls are more precise than dual analog sticks, rendering them as outdated as they made D-pads. The fact that the online service is free, and the games are a fair price. The fact that there are amazing Wii-Ware games that surpass the quality of other systems new download-able games and don't need achievements. The more advanced controller is cheaper than the less advanced controllers, etc...

I've played it online, seen it play online, and for what extremely little it offers, you barely get anything. Amazing Wii-Ware games, maybe, but there are hardly any choices compared to what the PSN Store and Xbox Live Marketplace have, which by the way, also allows REGULAR PEOPLE to sell games they made themselves.

No, read it again. Not advanced RESPONSE. A more sophisticated piece of equipment. There is more technology in the Wii controller than the PS3 and 360 controller combined, yet it's cheaper. Even with the nun-chuck attachment, it's the same price as a 360 pad. Nintendo is in it's INFANCY with online, While Microsoft has worked with the internet since practically DAY ONE of the mainstream internet. Oh, and ANYBODY can make a wii-ware game, you just have to submit your idea. You still have no base.

You're right. Even Gamecube had more good games than the Wii right now. I remember being excited for alot of Gamecube games, but for the Wii, I can only say I truly liked a few. And for people who think Wii controls are easy to learn...they're effing hard and sometimes unresponsive! Have you played Dragonball Z: BT3 or the Wii Wheel with Mario Kart? I always find myself using the Gamecube controller whenever I can anyways, it just feels more natural.

I was being a smart ass about the Wii not having good games. There are plenty of good games besides the ones Nintendo make. Especially what's coming up. Conduit,Madworld,NoMoreHeroes2 etc. I am better at Mario Kart with the Wii wheel myself. The controls themselves are not hard.if the company does not properly utilize them, gameplay can suffer. If you like anime fighting games, check out Bleach, it plays great with wii controls. Don't believe naysayers that are mad a "casual" console is winning.
