Redlining it a couple times won't hurt anything besides mileage, it can take a bit of abuse. Don't be afraid of it, it can take more than you think but don't be too hard on it.
Don't worry about it. These red-line at 6k/rpm's and have a rev limiter to prevent going over. Only way your going to damage anything is if it happens to be a stick shift and you shifted from lets say 5th into 2nd doing 70mph. These engines tend to have a slight shake at idle anyway (my 3.7L dakota does the same thing). Just keep the oil changed. :)
