I love the complete album. It's awesome. Morten Veland doesn't need to have female lead vocals. I hope he continues with this project, because you can't rarely listen to high quality music like this. There's a lot of crappy music out there.

In my opinion, it distracts me a little. On the one hand Sirenia and even Tristania, which style Morten wanted to keep, had a female Singer: Vibeke for Tristania, Fabienne, Henriette, Monika and Aylin for Sirenia. I agree that he had overdone the Female vocals on Sirenias last two Albums, but I think, even the female vocals are a part of his Productions.

I am going to buy this Album anyway, because it is Made by Morten Veland^^ and there is a female choir.

I just listened to the amazon samples... I'm a little worried. Most of the songs sound the same and all are under 6min long. Mortem sort of promised ''the sound from Beyond the Veil'', and it doesn't sound like it. It sounds like modern Sirenia, but with choir/grunt interaction instead of a lead female.

Beyond the veil is a master piece of tristania not by mortem veland.

Maybe one of the reason why he was booted out of tristania because he lacks creativity .

If he' s still with tristania all their albums will sound basically the same and beyond the veil wouldn't known as it is today.

Anyway it just my personal opinion

You are right, Veland wasn't the only one writing Beyond the Veil, but he did write songs like Apheleon, ...of Ruins and a Red Nightfall and Angina completely on his own. But I agree with you, Beyond the Veil won't be matched ever.

i totally agree with you...i mean, i also heard the samples, and this isn't BtV's sound...it lacks of BtV's atmosphere or i dont know :/ there are lots of choirs..it's like a sirenia2

According to the Mortemia Myspace there will be NO FEMALE LEAD VOCALS. I think this is good, because then it won't sound like every other gothic band.

I do have a question, did he leave out sirenia forever?? and I Must say it sounds like Sirenia in the choirs... the grunts are like amazing but choirs like sirenia, hath no sense.! =S amazing but still like sirenia sounds.

Awesome sample, the harsh vocals don't ruin the song at all, they are very good as they provide a great contrast to the rest of the song.

That guy needs to make up his mind. The music sounds great, but he seems like the most unstable person on the planet. I hope all 3 projects continue to grow and produce good music.

With that said, this sounds very much like beyond the veil, which is good.
