best game in the 80s... only when i look back, do i realise the faults in the game;

1. the player is in a jet, and is restricted to only flying over water?

2. Enemies are all japanese kamikaze pilots, armed with no ammo...

3. The players jet has a fuel leak and needs to be continually topped up...

other than that, the game is genius!!!

I think i spent about 1 and a half solid years behind the telly, trying to master this and Kung Fu Master...

though the jet got a very small fuel tank haha.

Yeaahh, those were the days...!

I'm just diggin' out some ancient C-64 + Amiga-games to play them via Emulator on he PC, and even today I don't find it hard to figure out why I was attracted to them so much !

They just had the momentum that would drive you into yet another try to finish that level...!

love river raid c64 atari 2600, awsome flying up the river of no return, respect to carol shaw for writing this. original release i think is 1984 computer mags used to harp on about lastability,try 28 years later, try river raid, its the bollocks, end off. play it today.
