  • how long does it last

  • @iloverichardlewis This will last for about 2 weeks

  • I like the original style, I don't think the client will be able to keep this style.

  • reminds me of the 20s and the 90s when ppl was wearing this style now their bringing it back nice vid!

  • She looked so unhappy lmao I liked the front though.

  • doesnt it hurt when you pull it out...

  • It looked good until you pulled the waves out....lol...

  • @spotgurl90 I know right. I was like why did she do that lmao

  • very pretty

  • Very nice job. that hair is thich and might not be easy to curl. great.

  • Amazing!

  • FINGER WAVES ARE AWESOME... FOR GIRLS

  • Very pretty hairstyle...I remember wearing finger waves/scrunchie waves in the 90's....... That style is so old and dated... but trust and believe.. by the time my 3yr old daughter is 16... this style will emerge again.......lol Nothings new, only recycled......

  • Could this be done on natural hair?

  • I like this hair style, you can wear finger waves for a few days then pick out for the curly look, great style

  • i like it!

  • great job

  • For those who are making comments about how old this style is need to quit. Styles change everyday.! And remember what you might call old and don't like , you betta believe somone is out there rocking it. Thats why I love hair because it always changes.

  • I think it looked better when it was first done, she messed it up when she started picking it out. kept messing with it.. Like some stylist who cut hair they just don't know when to stop

  • @BlaqHQ so true

  • @BlaqHQ I agree.

  • even though this is old shcool i will rock this shit must prefer it with the bag though!

  • Love the style, not so sure about the product though. I'd probably use a different product to wave her hair with.

  • THIS VIDEO LOOKS LIKE IT IS LIKE 50 MILLION YEARS OLD..WHO WEARS THESE ANYMORE????

  • i love that!!!

  • Definitely an old school hair style, and makes an excellent protective style as well.

  • i honestly like this style, i love doing fingerwaves period

  • pretty!!

  • I hope this video was done in 1980

  • looker better w/o being picked out

  • i actually think it looked better when she first started combin it out

  • that is so pretty even though itz old style...low key though dats comin back

  • Nice style I would have worn that before she started picking it out.

  • what kind of wrap lotion do you use? I have a daughter whose hair is very thick and i no longer put relaxer in her hair what can i do to her hair with out putting chemicals in it? how do i keep her hair up? What product do you think i should use?

  • We use NouriTress VitaWrap Foaming Lotion. I would recommend Motions for Kids!

  • What type of setting lotion did she use?? very nice do' !!

  • LORD this is pretty. AND my girl is not even playin with that hair!

  • in the 90's we called this a FREEZE.

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • try design essentials 6n1 setting lotion if its still around.

  • this look like something in futuristic video!

  • I think it would look pretty if they got that bang out of her face. It bothers me and look mmm nn mm. but her hair came out nice.

  • The video is very nice .

    You know your stuff.

  • old school

  • So cute!! Thanks for sharing!!

  • Thats a lot of work wow. hope u gettin paid mama.

  • what all do u put on the hair before u start finger waving it???

  • Setting lotion.

  • how old is this video?....wow

  • contructive criticism; try not to break down the wave so much it will look nappy and uncombed if you do

  • what kind of lotion she uses in the begin ? does anyone knows ?

  • On a fresh perm diluted setting lotion and mouse.Old perm mouse and a little gel.

  • omgosh this is exctly what i want to the sweetsixteen, than youuu!

  • what is the foam wat lotion and how lon doe his hair last...assuming i make it and don l th curls out..just keeping it on d head..im in the UK and also i the r alternative means/product i can use??

    this is really preety

  • That's nice

  • yeah that's nice but how do u dry the hair before styling?

  • This style is KUNTREEEEE....

  • i love those type of waves especially for teh summer just get up spray with oil sheen and go

  • The hairstyle is Awesome! I love the waves especially before they were pulled out.

  • I want my hair like this for my wedding! Beautiful! I love it!

  • i know they used to call it "finger waves"...but it looks like black flowers all over her head..sorry not the look for me

  • this is a different type of figerwaves, still the same thing

  • so a rollerset wouldn't suffice???

  • hey wats that white stuff in hair is that gel

  • I don't believe it's hair gel. My mother has been doing hair for almost 30 years now and she uses a foam wrapping lotion. It makes the hair easier to come through and moist enough to manage without "overgelling" it or drowning it in water spray.

I definitely loved it when she puts it on my hair to wrap it before I sit under the hair dryer. When its dry and combed out it becomes a beautiful straight style but with a little body.

  • foam and gel

  • this hair style is beautiful cant wait 2 start doiong finger waves at school so i could create a style like this :)

  • dan that kind of fly I might rockit foreal

  • WOW, this is old school. I was cute back in the day, probably when this video was made.

  • LOL @ Chevon.. LOL... but for real.. what is that foam.. is it silky milk?

  • The technique is great! No matter the year, you can always add these skills into styles epically when doing a creative photo shoot. Thanks!

  • GORGEOUS! how long can this last for?

  • thanks for teaching me how to do fingerwaves without gel

  • okay this looks like finger waves

  • ummmmm.....where do they wear their hair like this at???

  • THAT'S HECKA OLD SCHOOL

  • DeShawn those waves are so pretty...i want you to do mine with extensions, wave the crown and rod the rest ooooooohhhh weeeeeee!!!

  • ???? Thats not cute... It's helmet hair :)

  • please tell me the song! Please please please cuz I love it

  • Black/African-American hair is so amazing! I love it!

  • I looks like Clara Bow's hair! A very authentic 1920's hair, nice job!!!

  • omg i hate it i sat here and watched this for all this time and it looks like a big frizzy cotton ball

  • um how does she sleep?

  • Q. How does she sleep?

    A. On her stomach with her chin in her hands according to my wife...

  • I have to agree! That style is definitely a throwback! No body, no movement! We called it a freeze in St. Louis, MO too! I don't think I would every go that route again!

  • i like it plucked out

  • Style was kind of cute before the comb out. Ok I guess but I don't like the way it ended up looking frizzy in the back.

  • what soundtrack was used on this? i love it

  • certified HAM.

  • wow this is so throwback! we used to call those waves "the freeze" or "push waves". my hands used to be raw at the end of the day doing this and spirals w/ pump it up (don't recommend). no matter how many times i washed my hands at school, they still smelled like pump it up (reason why i can't stand to see a bottle of it even 13yrs later). that foam was expensive so the hood chicks would settle for gel (eco style to be exact). i don't miss the shanene's at all.

  • that is too funny...we used to just call them finger waves...funny how time just comes back around!

  • nice

  • in the texas we call those finger waves.

  • I like it before the comb out but the style is okay

  • Gorgeous! It almost makes me want to cut my hair short so I can wear these vintage styles...

  • I LIKE THEM B4 U PLUCKED THEM OUT

  • hey can you do that with weave

  • i have seen it done with weaves, it has to be human hair though

  • my stylist..buckles the front of my hair add extensions to the back curl up for a big volume it's very sexy..fab!

  • The foam is moose and Motion's moose works well.

  • Well that's easy to do. Just a little time consuming. I would want to do that with longer hair but I just can't seem to figure out how to get that same wave pattern onto the longer ends of the hair that can't be waved onto the head....

But beautiful indeed. It's a young flapper inspired look. All she needs is a feather hat and tap shoes so she can do the Charleston. LOL very cute

  • Where can i get that foam? and what is it called??

  • any beauty supply in the hood. They have differnt brands. Foam setting lotion.Ask for it at the counter.

  • show us the foamin lotion the name and where we can get it

  • picking out the waves had to hurt

  • the waves were cool, i really liked it before they were picked out. it was very different

  • I feel the same way... Even if she only lifted it away from her head a LIL bit, it woulda been better. >_>

But aye... it's they video. (wink)

    -TK

  • wow.. pump it up hair spray

  • they took it back with the pump it up!

  • I love that song in the background. gotta be 94.7 the wave ,but I don't know the name of it. O yeah, the hair is nice too.

  • looks beautiful!! what kind of foaming lotion is that?

  • cute hairstyle

  • pretty

  • I like this, pretty neat!

  • That is so beautiful! Thank you for uploading this easy to use video.
