The Saints won the game but the Colts should have won, the long half-time really screwed the Colts hurting Freeney and rendering him worthless in the second half. The Colts had a chance to put the game away early but did not. The Saints were good that season and won the game straight up but I say that season if the Colts and Saints played a best of 7 series the Colts win 4-1.

The 45 minute halftime had a huge affect on Dwight Freeney rendering him worthless in the second half and HanK Wilkerson's inability to handle an onsides kick also contributed. The Colts beat the Saints 8 out of 10 times that season.

Porter read the play, known as Manning's favorite throw, and reacted perfectly. Manning's timing was off; he threw a split second too early and Porter sat right on it. From a business stance, games are more marketable if they are guaranteed to come down to the wire. More people will watch a close 14-10 game than they will a 35-10 game. You waste one of the big advertising opportunities with blowout games. Not to mention the players get 60 percent of all television revenue which comes from advertising. More incentive to play or fix close games.

The Saints won the game but the Colts should have won, the long half-time really screwed the Colts hurting Freeney and rendering him worthless in the second half. The Colts had a chance to put the game away early but did not. The Saints were good that season and won the game straight up but I say that season if the Colts and Saints played a best of 7 series the Colts win 4-1.

The Colts should have won this game in a boat race, at 10-0 Garcon dropped a long gainer and then the offense stalled. If he catches that the Colts go up 17-0 and win pulling away. The 45 minute halftime had a huge affect on Dwight Freeney rendering him worthless in the second half and HanK Wilkerson's inability to handle an onsides kick also contributed. The Colts beat the Saints 8 out of 10 times that season.

Which was the onside kick. The Saints played the game slower than normal, to keep Manning off the field and run the clock. Whoever made this is an idiot, if they were going to rig this, Tracy Porter could have just stood between Manning and Wayne and caught a ball tossed directly to him, but as your video clearly shows, Porter makes an excellent move on the ball, coming from behind Reggie Wayne and snagging the ball away. If this was rigged, they picked an unnecessarily complex and risky way of doing it, and Tracy Porter had to execute the plan just perfectly within a split second. Very very unlikely.

There was no rigging at all - it's terrible to suggest otherwise. Porter said he had rehearsed defending that exact play from viewing tapes for the week before the game, over and over. Porter read the play, known as Manning's favorite throw, and reacted perfectly. Manning's timing was off; he threw a split second too early and Porter sat right on it. They got Manning's goat and won the game fair and square.

@gymnopedies13 If you look at the past ten Superbowls seven of those games came down to the last few minutes. From a business stance, games are more marketable if they are guaranteed to come down to the wire. More people will watch a close 14-10 game than they will a 35-10 game. You waste one of the big advertising opportunities with blowout games. Not to mention the players get 60 percent of all television revenue which comes from advertising. More incentive to play or fix close games.

I hate Peyton Manning as much as the next guy and even I think that game was fixed for the Saints. Most high profile games have some sort of fixing in them. Just look at the Jets-Texans game from this past week. All the NFL cares about is having people glued to their seats for the entire 60 minutes of the football game

Then I guess I'll take a "rigged" Super Bowl for the Saints any day because it was the last family affair before we lost our matriarch... and she had a damn good time dancing after we won and I would have appriciated it so much more had I known it would be the last time I saw my grandmother dance.
