I hate what Blizzard have done here.

They've recycled the plot from Starcraft; a good character ends up turning evil, becomes lost, and then returns to take over the world in an expansion pack.

So in order to turn Sarah Kerrigan into Arthas, they rigged the fight so that Arthas wins. Even if he wasn't meant to.

Illidan was slaying demons thousands of years before Arthas was even born. And then he gets beaten by some human prince with a possessed sword?! Yes, of course that makes sense...
