you like that scatting out there? man music is a powerful thing, you know what I'm saying, and I thank the Lord for being one of his messengers, you know what I'm saying? a little bit of attittude and gratitude you dig?
@TheTranslator100 funny because this was a suggestion of a george benson video and George Benson uses a similar guitar with similar amp settings look up ON a DIFFERENT TAB george benson affrimation. But im sure you already know that song
Norman Brown plays a George Benson signature Ibanez, uses a similar combo amp, scats, plays fast octave lines, and is Black - that's where the distinction ends. Harmonically and technically, Norman and George are totally different players. Norman is exclusive to the "Smooth Jazz" genre (the Kenny G of guitar lol), while Benson's roots are in Bebop, but is well versed in contemporary Smooth Jazz as well. The main difference = George's traditional Jazz chops way more complex.
Even if we cannot deny Norman Brown touch, he is all the way inspired by George Benson, and by definition, someone else cannot be better than the original one. He even plays an original IBANEZ GB20( where GB stands for George Benson 2nd)
Clearly Norman is a gifted player, but George is the Master. If somebody disgree with this, probably doesn't know the whole G.B. production.
@TheRaiders1973 you are completely and utterly insane for saying he is better than george... george would play AND sing circles around norman.. norman plays straight smooth jazz and his singing is average.. george can play in any musical idiom you put him in
unreal, Norman your style and sound is tremendous- Jimmy Hendricks influence

So what?
Shut up about George and
Norman sounding alike.
Both are masters at their
music.

It's like Saying Kobe Plays Like Jordan. Everyone had someone to inspire to be like, and then made their own thing.

GB and NB have two separate distinct styles. To rank them you would be a fool. You probably don't hear too well adegenerate.
