  • this is so old..

  • At 0:42 it sounds like they are southeast of something that sounds wrong.

  • Am I the only one that noticed the cow at 8:53 flying across camera?

  • beautiful!

  • 0:42 here we are just southeast of vagina? what?

  • @hawksrock15 its regina you clueless amercain

  • @threestugz haha dude i'm kidding

  • You're out there on purpose and the wind isn't that loud, stop yelling at the mic like random, panicky gawkers who got too close.

  • Lol 5:15 thats what she said xD

  • lol horrible music at beggining

  • @amnd45 Tchaikovsky's 5th symphony rules. But this recording may not be top notch in sound quality nor interpretation. Herbert von Karajan did a better job conducting this magnificent piece of music.

  • lol horrible music

  • notice theres nothing else to do in saskatchewan :P or manitoba

  • notice theres nothing else to do in saskatchewan :P

  • Yup, this is Canada :)

  • Great vid, love the influx of dirt from the right side at about 8:30

  • lol at 8:54 the car starts flying like a toy

  • Driver: Is it safe to get out?

    Camera guy: Yeah, it's safe.

Driver gets out of the car: Aah fuck!

  • OMG 6:34 SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE COOK AID MAN XD

  • i wanna play with tornadoes ... damn the british weather! :(

  • @freedomchaser2402 Come on out here to Oklahoma. I moved to Oklahoma so I could see these storms myself. North Carolina weather was too boring for me. In some ways it resembles the weather in the UK. I have seen tornadoes every year since I moved to Oklahoma.

  • @Torn80cj yeah its definitely near the top of my wishlist. iv noticed some ppl are doing storm chasing holidays so i may end up saving up for one, alternatively just rent a car while in america. too busy with my pets at the moment tho but something that i will b doing in the future :)

  • Well done, park yourselves under power lines during a damn thunderstorm. Way to go.

  • Latino wives alone and try to chat her rockmycity.info

  • At the beginning doesn't it sound like he says-

"here we are just southeast of her vagina" ????

  • what a super cell!!

  • holy shit at 9:35

  • @RailFanJon If they had stayed a minute longer at 6:33 then they would have been as good as screwed.

  • Unbelievable...this kinda twister is rare even in Tornado Alley.

  • OMG 8:55

  • is that a cow?

  • No, it's a piece of sheet metal.

  • You guys are nuts, but I mean that as a compliment!

  • Awesome!

  • wow look at 5:58

  • Wow... the one at :18 was fast.

  • Was this the same tornado that hit Elie, Manitoba ?

  • No. It was part of the same outbreak though.

  • Check at 6:45 how the tornado sucking the dirt and air over in it hahaha

  • omg!! theres a cow at 8:56

  • Wow, excellent video, guys! This just earned you a new subscription.

  • damn that thing looked pissed lol how u gonna tease an f5 lol

  • wow :o is thies really F5 tornado?! or F10 Tornado?! thie is sooo Big :o

  • Theres no such thing as an F10.

    F5 is the max.

  • thats some insane footage.

  • man looks like a tornado class F3 or F4

    great to see it

  • This was an F-5 tornado.

  • Not it was an F4

  • I had this confused with the other F5 tornado that touched down in Manitoba. (Tornadoes are VERY rare here.)

But regardless of the cunfusion, the only thing keeping that sucker from being an F5 was there wasn't enough stuff in it's way to damage. On the other scale, if there are suction vorteces, it's automatically the biggest baddest tornado there is. I forget the rating.

  • Not necessarily . One tornado in Oklahoma damage was half a mile wide and had multiple suction vortices. The damage was mostly F0 with small pockets of F1 damage where the suction vortices struck. Although multivortex tornadoes tend to be strong, it isn't a guarantee. And the highest rating on the EF scale is indeed EF5 if that's what you were forgetting.

  • Cool, thanks man

  • This was an F4 but don't go by size.

  • @dragonridley no it wase a F5

    the only 1 in canada

  • @mario927265

    This wasn't they Elie tornado.

The Elie tornado was on June 22. This was on June 23.

  • Comment removed

  • @dragonridley renember Elie tornado hade 2 tornados

    June 23, 2007 only hade 1 tornado

but in tis vid u see 2 tornado

  • @mario927265

The F5 that hit Elie was on June 22 . This was the day after near Pipestone about 100 miles further west. It's not 2 tornadoes in this video it's 1 multivortex tornado.

  • LMAO- 8:54 "Gotttt Miiiilllkkkk Doh!"

  • 8:42 ommfg that debris looked like a cow

  • Can someone PLEASE me how to read a doppler?

  • I am not a certified meteorologist and I am not a storm chaser. however, through my experience in understanding Doppler radar images, the darker the color the heavier the precipitation. in addition, there is Doppler radar that has red and green color. red color are winds blowing away from the radar and green are winds blowing to the radar. a tornado or wall cloud on a Doppler radar looks like a hook.

  • Wholey crap! arent you ever scared!

  • lol cool

  • es unos de los mejores video que he visto donde se puede apreciar la captura de un tornado.... exelente video.... good luck.... saludos

  • by the way...by the way...regarding disco channel & tiv/dow...is this why reed is cut out of new episodes?!?!?! REED STOLE THE SHOW! REED & A LAPTOP! HAHAHAHAHA! dow/tiv sucks!

  • by the way...TIV sucks...DOW sucks...REED RULES!

  • doppler on wheels suck????? what????? thats a scientific instrument not something to compare to the tiv group , a dow is what measeured the wind of the ok tornado

  • reed timmer is awesome...so you shut the f up....if you watch disco channel he's the only one who guesses where the storms are & end up correct with the best footage with what little he's working with...you rock reed!

  • no, that's not a cow

  • ya we dont get to many but their allways bad ones

  • ya someones' been watching too much twister.

  • that wasnt a cow at 8:56

  • na it was some sort of sign

  • actually i think that was one of the farms grain bins,,roof panel i believe from what i saw of the aftermath

  • lol

  • these videos would be 1000 times better without reed timmer constantly yelling. That guys voice ruins everything. All the TV and news agencies that want to use his videos have to edit them like crazy in order to use his footage, and are still sometimes embarrassed when they show it. reed, the video is top notch, the audio is fucking gay and annoying.

  • 8:56

  • that was amazing!!!

  • yeah that is a cow!!!

  • DUDE WAS THAT A FUCKIN COW AT 8:56???

  • that a forecasters boner right there

  • This is still one of the most epic tornado vidz evar!!!

  • any place to find good stills of this storm?

  • You guys are NUTS!!!

  • Ohh mii gawd

    I remember that day

I was at the ex and it was all raining D:

    Scary tho.

  • Jeahh . O_o

  • i just subscribed, my sisters boyfriends cousin is one of their chasers so yay!

  • Wow!

  • Even if the Tornado wasn't rated an F5 class, the sheer size of the storm alone would have made it even deadlier if it had hit a large center.

  • Don't be confused by the Fujita scale folks, if this tornado had hit your neighbourhood, both you and Mr. Rogers would be dead or in orbit hehe.

  • Man I'm saving this to my favorites list lol. That is one beauty of a storm. Canada gets nasty storms sometimes and this is proof times ten :)

  • tru dat but when its not storming or hailing or raining or snowing or getting super super hot or getting a tornado its a really great place lol

  • poooooor betsy!

  • eeeeeeeeew this is a big nasty son of a gun one of the most violent ive seen. would not like to have been in the path of this one

  • Wow, that's amazing footage! Beautiful, yet so scary. I'm sort of happy to be living in a country where tornados are extremely rare, though. O_o!

  • Did anyone else see the cow flipping around in the field somewhere between 8 and 9 minutes into it?

  • Yep... betsy was doing cartwheels

  • those are my fields at 3:05

  • Just bitching about how much they talk. Obviously you've never chased a single storm in your life, because you'd know that you wouldn't be able to be quiet. It's too amazing.

    Bastards.

  • It is very hard to stay quiet while chasing something that amazing.

  • man those storms just looked beautiful

  • did 5:09 make a touchdown?

  • dude i wouldve pissed my pants im scared to death of tornados my cousin was killed by one =(

  • cheezy music haha , but thats still FREAKY!

  • Tchaikovsky isnt cheezy

  • IM just meant that the music doesnt match. Thats my opinion! No offense! haha

  • Lol, After storm chasing and getting used to the storms, its more of an thrill ride then a scary time. Its pretty fun. I wish that our storm team here had stayed together....man we had some good times^_^

  • GOD DAMN AT 2:27!

  • Nail-biteingly brilliant.

  • That is incredible footage with what has to be the worst editing I have ever seen

  • "it's just sitting in that field" no i think it's coming towards you

  • hav your vids got some kind of e-cannabis or somthing? there very addicting! 5* and 1 sub

  • If I ever meet you in the field, Reed, I'm buying you a beer. Ditto

  • I swear at about 7:00 when you're rushing to get back in the car there is a second tornado behind you. Might explain why you couldn't get the door open. YIKES! I can't see a cow at I see some debris, but it's too big to be a cow from that distance.

  • AHhhhhhhh! What a storm!

  • I remember this one. Tornado one of three produced by the same cell. I want to say this one was EF3. Took out five houses. No one was killed or injured.

  • that was at least an F4 wedge

  • even though to be classified as an EF-5, this tornado would've had to cause extreme damage, I can tell you by looking at it that it'd probably BE an EF-5..not an EF-4 (multi-vortex)

  • EC rated it as an F3 Tornado..so close..just wrong scale lol.

  • it was originally rated an f4, but recently got upped to an f5 due to footage like this and the scale of damage caused to the surrounding properties. 420+ km/h winds apparently. It is considered Canada's first recorded f5, just a miracle no one was killed, but would have been extremely deadly if it hit Winnipeg... hundreds would have been killed due to the time it touched down... comparable to the Edmonton tornado nearly 20 years ago.

  • This is not the Elie tornado. I live very nearby, and in Southern Manitoba. This tornado only hit a barn in SW Manitoba, near the pipestone region. If this one had hit a town, it probably would have been a higher rated tornado than an F3.

The Elie tornado was a violent rope tornado that occurred the day before this video was taken. It completely destroyed 4 houses and damaged others in town.

  • ah touche jonny. either way man, that was a hectic weekend, i was camping the day after the Elie tornado when reportedly 7 tornadoes touched down in southern manitoba... ive NEVER seen lightning like that, and the clouds were very strange orange color that looked like i spun around winnipeg, we were at Birds Hill Park, i saw atleast 3 funnel clouds and the parkies nearly evacuated everyone, our tents were destroyed and we spent the rest of the night in the washrooms

  • Wow....that was probably with the line of storms that hit Winnipeg/Birds Hill area? There was even a brief tornado warning issued here in Winnipeg that night...but was downgradaed to a severe thunderstorm warning shortly after.

Yes the lightning was intense here too. In fact, it was setting off car alarms all over here...either that or the thunder....but it was sure crazy!

  • This tornado in particular did only hit a farmers barn in the region. It has been confirmed by Environment Canada. No question on that.

    Buuuuttt.....

This same supercellular thunderstorm did drop more than one tornado, so it was very likely one of those tornadoes.

Also, other supercells in the region did have tornadic potential also. I know this as I was tracking the supercells throughout their entire life on Radar out of Minot, ND.

As for pictures, I would love to see them :D

  • I base the fact that this tornado did little damage in comparison to what it could have on damage reports. The one in particular I still disagree with your report of the damage there. EVEN SO, I in no way whatsoever doubt what you're saying about the damage. I've heard of damage reports similar to what you're describing from different tornadoes that occurred with the same supercellular cluster of storms that night. After all, there were at least six reported tornadoes in that region that day.

  • ..and as result, they are over worked employees that get very little funding. Give EC some respect for what they do! Our one winnipeg office of employees has to cover an area as large as tornado alley (the whole prairies).

As for your anger, that wasn't necessary. Is is not possible to have a discussion rather than an argument?

I don't know if my other comments posted, as Yt his being a pain in the arse today. If they didn't let me know and I'll post em again :)

  • Jonwpg I agree with you, but I also agree with the other guys.... I live in this area and what the other guys were saying about damage is true but what they did say about Environment Canada well I totally agree with you on that one. Meteorology is difficult but is something we all should know sometimes!

  • As for dissing EC, seriously, don't do that. I'm assuming you know not very much about forecasting and meteorology, and have no idea how hard it is for our meteorologists.

Yes, I realize that their accuracy is not 100%, but that is normal. Weather is unpredictable-let's see you do any better. Secondly, their job gets hard and hard all the time. Why? This is because of our government. They provide little funding to improve our forecasts, etc. , and don't higher anybody new when workers retire..

  • Vorticies.

    sorry.

    awesome videos!

  • multiple worticies! awesommme!

  • I am a huge fan of your tornado videos........but I get so worried about you guys and I don't even know you! I'll be praying for you, I guess, because that is all I can do....well, that and be addicted to the videos you post as well. You're amazing and brave! Kudos!
