its cool becuz water, you can do blood and plant bending. fire, you can do electro-bending. earth, you can do sand and metal bending. but, unfiortunately, air you cant do much except just makes sharp cuts of wind and make yourself fly

I don't know I beg to differ with a bit more training I would imagine you could create Vaccums with Air giving you all types of options including taking the breath away from a caster. Also I would imagine w/o the needed oxygen a Fire or even a water bender would be powerless.

I reckon fire is a more attacking type of fighting, air is a defensive. in fact air has absolutly no killing moves to actually cause damage from the bending itself.

Well, there are severeal, but the one who sets the tree on fire at 0:35 is Avatar Roku, the Avatar before Aang; the one who creates the giant wall of fire at 1:11 is Jeong-Jeong, an ex-general of the Fire Nation Army; the guy with the muttonchops who looks like a monkey is Admiral Zhao of the Fire Nation Army; and you probably know who Zuko's Uncle Iroh is, but in case you don't, he's the one in the hotsprings pool at 0:15.

This is a great vid. I can tell you, it is rather hard to find a song that is unbiased when attributing to the bending arts. I'm trying to make my second bending vid (Fire, ironically), and choosing the right song while not making it evil is HARD. The waterbending tribute vid I had was easy, since it just happened as a happy accident.

contrary to the popular belief, waterbending is the most dangerous. As the human body is about (I'm estimating here)90% water. all bending styles are equal.air has almost no offensive moves, and is fire has almost no defensive moves. and water and earth need to be their respective elements to work. While it is true that it's possible for a waterbender to manipulate the water inside something (plants, for example) it would take an immense amount of skill to isolate the water in the human body (which is 70%; I looked it up), as most of it is distributed throughout the bloodstream and various organs in minute amounts. It could be possible for a master waterbender, but would require an acute ability to sense the presence of even the smallest amount of water among other substances.

I've seen that episode too, and so I must conceed, you were right. However, bloodbending IS a specialized technique that can only be performed by a master waterbender under the hightened influence of the full moon.

I doubt Katara will ever use bloodbending again, let alone teach it to Aang. He's already a master waterbender, and she would never burden anyone else with the knowledge of bloodbending. It IS possible that she may have need of it sometime in the future, but I'm pretty positive that Katara will never use bloodbending again unless someone's life depended on it and there was no other option.

I would think so. Waterbending is a part of who he is; all the elements are, even though he was born an airbender. The Avatar wields the power of all four elements, amplified by the combined abilities of past Avatars. So yes, I think if any waterbender can harness the moon's power, the Avatar could.

I've noticed the concept of 'second' or 'elite-level' bending as well, and have been trying to come up with something for airbending. I'm pretty sure airbenders may be able to manipulate sound in some way. I remember reading something about soundbending before, like maybe amplifying a voice or other sound, or inhibiting sound waves in some way. Since sound needs air to travel, it could be possible for a skilled airbender to manipulate it.

ah, yes that would be the best thing since sound travels by vibrating air, a skilled airbender would be able to vibrate the air and do a number of things (like shockwaves or a sonic boom, or localize a REALLY loud sounds around someone's head)

Ideally, firebending itself should be no more powerful than any of the other bending disciplines; it is the will of specific people in power who are responsible for the Fire Nation's reputation of being evil.
