  • u da man

  • how much was your preamp?

  • I have an electronic apple mac computer

    ingridients!

  • ama<ing !

  • Lol aren't you recording this video using the microphone built into the mac?

  • could you use the USB thing from singstar as a pre amp?

  • lol i use the microphone from rock band it's actually pretty good and it's usb so you can plug it straight to your mac, PC, etc.

  • Cam I use my mbox with logic pro?

  • my tutorial is better. but this is still alright. i wear facepaint IN MY VOCAL tutorial.

  • There are USB microphones

  • @brain96969 yes, but in13" macpros, you could not monitor what you are singing, in that case this is a great solution.

  • @ciromendo There are USB microphones where you can hear what you are singing like Shure USB PG27 and USB PG42

  • @brain96969 USB microphones are not for vocals, you use a dynamic or condenser microphone for vocals, not a usb headset, thats for gaming.

  • @MinecraftHDFilms Shure pg42 usb is a semi professional microphone for project studios. Great sound, plug & play

  • @brain96969 99% of Vocal recording microphones are run by a XLR cable.

  • @MinecraftHDFilms This is changing since Shure PG42 USB, SE ELECTRONICS SE 2200A USB and Audio Technica AT2020 USB came out. Great sounding microphones where you don’t have to buy the expensive interface. In future, we will see more and more a shift toward USB microphones

  • @brain96969 Ok thanks, good to know.

  • Liked it. The last comment is making think about testing my existing hardware with osx lion before i get a new mac air. Glad I watched.

  • i bought a pre amp and it didn't work because it was too old for the "new" osx lion. I don't know what pre amp to get now or what to do. can anyone help please?

  • hey i am new to mac and i recorded a song already and some parts of the song has louder vocal parts and it plays into the left side of the headphones only and some vocal parts are not loud and i was wondering how i can change the velocity of the vocals to even it up and also level up the sound to one so it plays in both headphones thanks

  • Nothing pops up when I plug it in.. I bought my Mac pretty much for Garage Band and I can't even connect the mic.

  • @MyFavoriteRapper Go to your Preferences -> Audio/Midi, and make sure the Pre-Amp is chosen as an input source.

  • do you know how to turn up just the vocal in garage band. i know theres a slider at the bottom but that turns up the instrumental and vocal at the same time ? thanx

  • did u drop the preamp? or throw it?

  • nice video mate, how much are the usb things? Liked the Aces High background too.

  • you could also use a usb mic. istaed of a usb pre amp.

  • your accent is awesome!

  • what is a half decent usb preamp?

  • @ooglebydoogleby Hey man, the M-Audio Fast Track is a REALLY good usb preamp/interface and can be found new on the internet for around $100.

  • @ooglebydoogleby Thank you will that sort out low signals for recording acoustic instruments?

  • Good video, helped me, and also liked your crack ;-)

  • how good are these at picking up really low frequencies?

  • lol 0:58 looks like a fucking bullet.

  • you've answer my question simply and easy to understand. God job!

  • thanks!!! do you have like ONE input? cause i've only got one for headphones ..

  • thnx alot m8!
