That was hotfixed Nuleariasi....they intend for you to be able to tank him on the side and also for no robots to spawn during hard mode.....all better now and this video still rocks
I have a question, how do you ge your camera zoomed out so far? That height could help alot in boss fights, I've ot my camera at max range, but it's nowhere near that high. Thank you :)

We were pretty close to the timer on both attempts, but after that, the additional effects of Light and Gravity Bombs really aren't very difficult to deal with. Lots of raid healing and DPS required, sure, but still fairly easy once you know what to expect.
My 10 man group progressed with XT by tanking him at the foot of the stairs. We started taking him down regularly. Then someone showed us the strategy of tanking him between the piles for our 25 man and we've been tanking him at those piles in 10 man ever since. Personally, I understand that it's easier, but I feel liked the experience has been cheapened for me. I know that I'm not going to get any support from my group, but it's just how I feel.
Lol, when they're killing the heart there's a solid beam of DPS going towards the boss, go back to that part of the video and watch. that's freaking awesome lol.

NO one on my realm has been banned for it, i doubt blizz will ban people for it cuz just about everyone in ulduar now a days uses that as the general strat to kill him. You dont have to kiss Blizz's ass to get farther into ulduar. Just don't do stuff that is obviously not going to get you banned. This is prolly a small offense anyway.

can you make a vid of the woman encounter most guilds are having trouble with it including my own.
I've pulled with my "sup" macro wich seems to be effective in phase 1 of each rotation. we fail about 30 seconds in when all of our dps dies because our priests dont know how to mind control or shackle the rampant adds. and our raid then clumps together then gets green beamed for over 9000 damage. this effect bounces through all members within 10 yards of course.
the bar is brown, so its a warrior winning :), but its not about the highest dps its about doin what you have to do properly, its no good having the highest dps if you say cant move when you get light bomb
Grid isn't purely for healer classes. It shows curses and cleanses, as well as allowing you to put your raid unit-frames into a smaller section of your screen... clearing up your UI a little bit.
I'm a Rogue and I use it just to not have to use raid frames or party frames. I get rid of them and use grid instead. Even in 5mans. SOOOO much space cleared.
if you think rogues are the best dps you are VASTLY mistaken take a look at a good retribution paladin and wish you could reroll (3.2 is even MORE dps) :P
My guild uses a very similar strategy. This should probably be the first true hardmode you try. As long as you have a good setup and coordinated members, you don't need an extremely well geared raid to pull this off. Best of luck.
Also, the tank should make a macro to target, then taunt the life spark. This helps alot becuase the dps know the life spark is always going to be in the same place. For myself, a prot paladin, the macro is:
/target life
/cast Hand of Reckoning
Simple as that, the tank now has the spark on him and the aura is not killing the group, but the dps still have to burn it down of course, just makes postioning alot easier.
The main reason for that is that we have a very high attacking speed + x2 damage to the hearth = More attacks = more damage = Highest dps , Besides rogues are just that amazing :D
this was before nerf but i guess you didnt notice the 4.2mil heart instead of 3.6mil. This means that the light sparks come 40% faster. Ranged dps has to completely focus on sparks so that they never over lap but from your comment im guessing your guild downed him after the hotfix
Bah why use 2 tanks? I solo tanked this encounter on my prot warrior. 2 Pummelers usualy spawn during the heart phase which i picked up and all dps nuked down....leaving scrap bots to reach the boss because he is healed to full anyway. Setup a taunt macro for the light spark and have ranged kill it while it travels towards the tank. Run with 5 healers and 19 dps.

That is 100% false. Rogues hit faster, but for less damage per hit.
DPS is (obviously) measured in damage per second, so it doesn't matter how fast you hit.

They had to kill adds throughout the fight...not to mention they actually got INTO hardmode...which is a dps check in itself

Anyone aware if tanking him between scrap piles has same effect for 10 man encounter (no bot spawns)? I always hold him at base of stairs

Bah why use 2 tanks? I solo tanked this encounter on my prot warrior. 2 Pummelers usualy spawn during the heart phase which i picked up and all dps nuked down....leaving scrap bots to reach the boss because he is healed to full anyway. Setup a taunt macro for the light spark and have ranged kill it while it travels towards the tank. Run with 5 healers and 19 dps.
