What's interesting to me is, other than a few very brief flashes where you see a freeway sign on the right, and the writing on the back of the small truck's tailgate, there is no other indication of where in the world this is happening. This could be a freeway in any one of innumerable countries throughout the entire globe - the lane markings, the wall on the median, the vehicles - they now look the same everywhere.

The car he was trying to avoid was to his right, so he veered left. For this reason, studies have shown that as a passenger in a car, the safest place to ride is behind the driver's seat.
