That most difficult thing for a once institutionalized mental patient to deal with is becoming comfortable letting others know about your experience. If a former patient broaches the subject with you, encourage them to talk about it. Doing so, helps them a great deal.
@chas3francis I completely agree I have been institutionalized several times and have almost made a full recovery after 10 years of difficulty. And yes talking about it with someone helps very much as long as you trust the person. Thanks for watching my video :-)
@tommysangel101902 yea who can you trust nowdays i trust myself nobodyelse i am my own god (call it blasphomy if you must but judge me not for you who judgeth me he/she shall be judged sayeth the lord.. amen. .god bless atos r.i.p
This is..awesome. I too Am fighting to help end stigma. I started a cause just 2days ago on facebook/causes. I also suffer from a mental illness I've had now for 10yrs. It can happen to anyone at any age, regardless of financial status, career position, heritage, cultural beliefs...May God Bless You & Yours!!!
This was a great vid. I understand what it's like. I experienced it myself for over a decade. The truth about mental illness is that it's false. The truth about a 'chemical imbalance' is there isn't one, it's a lie. Sure, people have problems coping with life, but that's not an 'illness'. The concept is used for social control, to label and drug people. It's all for profit, power and control. The DSM (book of mental illnesses), is written by psychiatrists, and both are bought out by Big-Pharma.
