the upcoming movie "Cloverfield" has a similar "Stuff" concept. Its called "Slusho" Japan's worldwide sensational drink (whose main ingredient is a blood component extracted from the big monster) whoever drinks it will be persecuted by the small monsters, once in contact the humans burst into more monsters.
