I was at this show, New Year's Eve 1981-1982, at the Ritz (now Webster Hall) . The city, especially the East Village, was gritty and somewhat dangerous back then . Going out to see a show was just amazing. Also on the bill that night: Roni Spector, and Blue Angel (Cyndi Lauper) . They served Champagne around 5 am . Old NYC . What a night !
