Just throwing this out there. I Did some simple math using the percentage of serious reactions given by SeventhSandwich. By current statistics, if everybody in the world was given this vaccine, only 2812 people would have serious reactions to it... Hmmm... Can you imagine if all the side effects and deaths that this vaccine has caused, were caused by a vitamin supplement? There is certainly plenty of information available about possible adverse reactions. As with anything, a wise person weighs the risks versus the benefits before making a decision. Unfortunately, occasionally people are unlucky and have an adverse reaction. But I'd like the opportunity to play the odds.

Has anyone looked into the # of girls reacting to the HPV vaccine who had previously had the meningitis vaccine between 2005 and 2006? I see she had the HPV in 2007, but the MCV4 is listed on her record here without the date showing. Was that before her HPV shot? Wonder if it can have a buildup effect... There is an article on the CDC site about known cases of guillain-barre syndrome within 6 weeks of the MCV4 vaccination. Wonder if the MCV4 was the gas, then the HPV was the spark?

@Yabuturtle My niece Brittney is a victim of Gardasil as well. There is a Documentary being made the many Gardasil Girls across the country & in other countries. It will be released hopefully by the summer of 2012. Britt was one of the girls interviewed for this documentary. It's amazing what these guys have done to help give our girls a voice about this.

If many people come out with the with multiple debilitating illnesses having previously been healthy before taking a vaccine wouldn't you think there could be some correlation there? Just throwing this out there. I Did some simple math using the percentage of serious reactions given by SeventhSandwich. By current statistics, if everybody in the world was given this vaccine, only 2812 people would have serious reactions to it... Hmmm... I do feel for the people who might have been hurt by this, but it looks like that number is lower than the yearly deaths from cervical cancer, and that 2812 would be a one time loss. I would like to encourage any f you folks that have been damaged by this vaccine r suffer from any of the hundreds of autoimmunes to try a organic raw diet or at least an organic vegan diet. As a statistician I now know nothing about the connection between gardasil & ashley's symptoms.
Could be gardasil related - but could be a million other things.
Would I take gardasil if I wasn't sexually active - no. There are lots of things we prevent by immunization but if consequences are not severe why vaccinate.

And you'd have to follow the women for the rest of their lives to know if they ended up with it. They don't even know if the women had been exposed to HPV. Oh yeah, it HPV's never been conclusively proven to cause cervical cancer. And guess what else? The vaccine was never tested on girls only older women. Given all that, why take it?

@TheCeilingIsMoving Because in the last 25 years, there have been 10 deaths attributed to vitamin supplementation, vs 100,000 deaths PER YEAR attributed to pharmaceuticals. Vioxx alone was linked to approximately 60,000 heart attacks before it was permanently taken off of the market. The FDA took it off the market at one point, so they knew it's safety was questionable, but they allowed it to be put back. Do these people sound like anyone you want to trust?

@sprice676 Personally, I think drugs save more lives than they destroy. No one is forcing you to take drugs just because the FDA approves them. There is certainly plenty of information available about possible adverse reactions. As with anything, a wise person weighs the risks versus the benefits before making a decision. Unfortunately, occasionally people are unlucky and have an adverse reaction. But I'd like the opportunity to play the odds.

@sprice676 This is a horrific use of logic. If a vitamin pill caused severe side effects then it would likely be taken off the market because vitamin pills have little theraputic benefit.
Gardasil on the other hand, protects you from cancer. The negative effects of this vaccine are known to doctors and health officials, as is the case with all vaccines. Vaccines would be removed if we didn't conclusively know that Gardasil SAVES LIVES. Stop spreading misinformation.

No, you won't hear about their benefits in the mainstream media because the FDA and pharmaceutical industries won't allow it, but it doesn't take a lot of effort to go out and research it for yourself. As for Gardisil, if you believe that its benefits outweigh its risks because the FDA says so, you're lost. Do your own research, on this vaccine, and on the FDA, and then make up your mind.

Has anyone looked into the # of girls reacting to the HPV vaccine who had previously had the meningitis vaccine between 2005 and 2006? I see she had the HPV in 2007, but the MCV4 is listed on her record here without the date showing. Was that before her HPV shot? Wonder if it can have a buildup effect... There is an article on the CDC site about known cases of guillain-barre syndrome within 6 weeks of the MCV4 vaccination. Wonder if the MCV4 was the gas, then the HPV was the spark?

@jadaveg I think you're on to something. I was shocked as I listened to Ashley's story. Her symptoms sound like my 8 y/o daughter's that has left us searching for answers. Then I read your comment and I had one of those "ah-ha" moments. My daughter hasn't had the hpv vaccine, but she did have viral meningitis when she was 4. Since then she's always tired, sick, complaining of pain (head, shoulders, neck, back), weakness all over, and numbness(legs and feet). It's frustrating not having answers.

@Yabuturtle My niece Brittney is a victim of Gardasil as well. There is a Documentary being made the many Gardasil Girls across the country & in other countries. It will be released hopefully by the summer of 2012. Britt was one of the girls interviewed for this documentary. It's amazing what these guys have done to help give our girls a voice about this.

Something bad happens and we look to blame someone or something, it's human nature. But why is it not possible that this is just something bad that happened to a good person. What happened is terrible, but I don't believe you can necessarily blame a vaccine.

If many people come out with the with multiple debilitating illnesses having previously been healthy before taking a vaccine wouldn't you think there could be some correlation there? Wouldn't that warrant some independent investigation especially considering other vaccines like the swine flu turned out to be contaminated.
