As a Suns fan, i started developing a soft spot for the Mavericks after we sent Michael Finley and Nash over to those guys.I remember this draft like yesterday.All my buddies wanted the Suns to draft John Wallace, but i told them Nash was the most underrated guy in the draft and was the best shooting PURE pg i'd ever seen in college ball.That was my opinion at the time, he's proven i knew what i was looking at.Sadly, we never got to see the Finley/Nash backcourt in Phoenix.Nash came back!

two letters: JK. they got Jason Kidd, then they let Nash go, because he looked like just a good backup, not a two time MVP. However, once kidd was gone, and Dallas let him go, the suns picked him back up, and the rest is history.

Funny that Pitino and Brown are saying that Nash could form a good back court for years to come with Michael Finley. They did. But it was with Dallas. Then Nash came back for the MVP years after that and Finley got to be a champ with the Spurs.
