After watching other vid's of Jack's its unbeleiveable how similar these dogs are. My Jack shares so many traits, not just looks but their behavior. They are like clones of each other.

My jack russell has his security post on top of the couch, looking right out of the windows on the front door, sometimes he barks when nothing is even there lol

My Jack Russell sits on the back of the couch for hours and if certain people or animals walk by, he goes crazy with his barking...sometimes he'll bounce off both couches running around. We don't mind until he gets our Golden Retriever barking to. Then we just have to take my JR into another room and he calms. Keeps us on our feet! Wouldn't change him! He only acts like that inside, perfectly fine outside when people walk by.

My dog does exactly the same. Sitting on the couch and barking at cats, squirrels or birds who dare coming in our garden. ^^

My boy "Joaquin" is also a jack russel terrier and he does the exact same thing!

Our dog does the same and he is a pain in the backside. We also have to make sure hes away when the mail comes or he snatches it and rips it up. We ordered a new remote which now has a fang shaped hole in it as we didn't get to the post box (our mail comes through the door not a mailbox outside) in time but it still works luckily.

As I am driving away to work in the morning, I can see my jack russell Dolly perching her self on the stairs to watch out just like this.

When something does come even near our door she growls like this.

When ours was younger he wnet threw a screen dawer more than once soon we just simply took that out ya strong dog close to 40 pounds rather large jack russel. Amazing now when there older how well mannered they become to no teaching of our own .

Next doors cats wind my parson up, they slink by the window when hes having a sleep in the bay window and set him off, then our staffy joins in and copies him.

my parson jack russel (terrier) does exactly the same thing, he sits on the sofa starng at the window and as soon as something goes past, even a person! he goes abserloutly mental

lol my jack guards the house 2, although it gets annoying when they bark and run around in circles constantly, i forgive them knowing that they are only trying to proctect me, there the best dogs ever, always family first or them

My shih tzu does this same thing on the back of our couch all day long, and so help us if someone walks by on the sidewalk or the mailman comes.

My jack's exactly the same. Except now he's going on 14 and blind and deaf so he makes up his own intruder scares. We're always on orange/ red alert.

My JRT does the samething and keeps going even after they leave and she runs out the door and halfway up the driveway before realizing the visitor is gone. But she has that same sounding bark that you just don't think a small dog has!

Haha.. my JRT Kirby does the same thing. She is perched on the back of the couch during the day, waiting for the inevitable arrival of the mailman. I'm just glad there is a wall between her and the mailman, because I imagine if she got out the results would not be pretty.

My Jack's name is Anne and she does the same thing. She meets me at the door every night with a toy in her mouth. She is very loving and quite the clown...love her so much.

My jack russell, Paddy, always used to stand guard like that - we have a very popular fish & chip shop at the top of the street so lunch times were a nightmare, we had to eventually move the chair away from the window. He now spends his time looking out of the back window for seagulls. Whatever gets him through the day, I guess.
