I also say James should lose a bit of weight to be back like he was in 2010 but he's playing great at the moment and both of these players face each other in tonight's World Darts Championship semi final. He's getting back to his best.

does anyone else think if james wade lost some of his newly gained fat he would go back to playing a lot like this?? not that he is bad now but he did play better when he was a little thinner in 2006-2009

@amat180 not a little. He has taken to much weight. And you are absolutely right. He was suffering from depression a year ago after splitting with Helen Chamberlain. Then he started to take weight and now you see the result! I agree with you. Now he feels much better but as you wrote, he has to lose weight to play the game he played 2 years ago. Definitely agree with you!

@MJJBeliever oh yeah its clear, like this match is probably the best i've ever seen by james wade, his checkouts were amazing and he almost never missed, this is how he should be playing now, i hope he gets back to this form, and yes i realize he was a lot thinner back then quite an understatement on my part for sure.

this is one of the matches i always recommend to people who have never watched darts before. it has everything. great atmosphere, location, (the winter gardens arena can't be beat!) and a fast paced, high-standard of darts between two future legends. i hope to be at a matchplay event sometime in the future as well.

Yes, this took place in 2007 but I just saw it on TV. I have to say I was a Wade fan before but after this match I was just blown away. The double outs? That was the best performance of any individual televised event ever. Some day I will be in that crowd. Beers are on me!

Don't worry DeanChillin279 Crackingdarts will no doubt post it when he's ready. Also it was interesting when Lewis backed off and the crowd was told to pipe down when singing that annoying song, shame they don't employ this  courtesy in the Premier league

Wanna know a fact about why Lewis paused and ended up struggling in this match? Cause he got drunk after beating Barnevald in the previous round & was quite hungover!! Something that also happened to Terry Jenkins after he beat Phil Taylor in the same tournament.
