@MegaNafets well a triple backflip would get more points than a back 5 no matter how crappy it looked because it is unbelievably technical. But in terms of style, judges look for holding grabs, amplitude and clean landings, so a huge bs 5 w/ solid grab and landing may get more points than a bs 9 w/o grab and sketchy, but a double cork or bigger will almost always get more points if it's landed no matter what.
torsteins triple cork was really sick! i have to addmit it, but that was because he held the indy grab really long, and then his other arm was tucked up against his chest so it wasnt flying all over the place....
but common: dub mctwist12 dub cork10 dub dip10 dub rodeo9....(pipe)

I really do see a pretty massive difference in style between shaun's dub mctwist and Ipod's...I think Ipod's is better, but I have been involved in snowboarding for almost 10 years so I know what to look for

i watched this live and let me say this...KP had a better run and white's was only deserving of second place. the amplitude and the style was just better by KP. i dont hate shaun white like a lot of people, it was just obvious that KP had a better run.
KP only did 5 tricks, skipped the 6th entirely, and only his 1080s were better than Shaun's. Shaun did pretty good 1080s while beating KP on the other 4 tricks. It comes down to points.... Shaun scored more, even if KP's run was more stylish.

even if it was harder to learn and to go big people were shreddin caus they had style...
now as it both looks same, dubs, 12s,... (not that i dont like tHorgmo s SWBS 12)
so all kids go skiing caus it is easier to spin and flip, there is no more difference between ski and snowboard in terms of style...
