  • hey do you think the palm treo 750 is okay i bought it off ebay for 40$. I thought abought getting the htc tilt but ending up getting two treo phones for At&t ones a older treo 650 and a newer 750. i read on a web site that the treo 750 can play youtube vids. I dont know if the 650 can since its older.

  • go to vzw they are a little more expensive but they are way better the sprint or att.

  • Now finally something which was really heplful. You really answered all of my questions, thank you!

  • your reviews always answer the questions i have about phones. some reviews talk ENDLESSLY about what buttons and physical features a phone has. they spend countless minutes saying "and you see there's a button there for this..." and so on. i just wanna say to these people "look, we all know what buttons and physical aspects most phones have." your reviews are purposeful and direct and address phone issues we actually care about. thanks man

  • Great review. Informative and honest opinions. Keep it up.

  • Thank you very much for this video, Trent. It answered many questions I had. As much as I loved the specifications of the Treo Pro, I really hated its design. After watching your video, now I'm sure I was right. If only the qwerty keyboard was more comfortable, I surely would have bought it. Thanks again.

  • what do u think about n95 8 gb in comapte to e71

    ?

  • Hey trent,

are a majority of your cell phones unlocked?

  • hey i was wondering if u can do a review on a reliable laptop becuase i need one for school?

  • Thanks for the response, Trent. I may give the E71 a try.

  • Trent, good information. I have a question. Does the Nokia E71 pick up a signal better than the iphone? I am wondering if I would get better AT&T reception from another phone other than my iphone in my apartment. The Nokia E71 looks like a phone that I'd be interested in. I've read nothing but stellar reviews about it.

  • I cannot answer that answer that question because I've never had the iPhone 3G. The E71 is of course much better than the first gen iPhones I used to own.

Out of all the phones I have owned, I do believe that my E71 does have the best reception and signal strength.

  • Trent,

Any opinions on the Blackberry Storm?

  • I was honestly unimpressed with the cheap quality of its plastic form, and the clicking screen is basically a huge button. I didn't find the touch interface to be responsive and the qwerty layout was a downright shame. I have already disregarded the Storm as another passing fancy trying to cash in on the iPhone halo effect.

  • Hey!! Absolon in your opinion whats the difference btw WM 6 and the 6.1

  • I am not too sure anymore since it has been a while, but I am quite sure that SMS threading was the new feature introduced in 6.1.

  • i wish you'd change the camera angle, i feel like you're talking down to me :)

  • Sorry about that. :) I just feel more comfortable sitting on the living room sofa and it feels more relaxed for me. I am glad you're enjoying the videos anyway. Thanks for watching!

  • Nice Info

  • hey trent :) can uhelp me im thinking about buying a new smartphone and i dont realy have much money....i need some phone whit large screen and qwerty! and it can run symbian or windows mobile to... so pls help me giveme some phone examlpes:)

  • If you are looking to narrow your choice down to a large screen and a qwerty for very little money, I would suggest the HP 910, HTC TyTN 2, iMate Ultimate 9502 or the Nokia E61i. These models are the only ones that are coming to mind right now, and the TyTN 2 and E61i could probably be found refurbished for a good deal online. If you have any other uses you'd like to execute with your phone and need more assistance just let me know.

  • 2:18 waaay too loud.

  • I agree!! great vid BTW

  • great vid and I agree witht he treo pro's keyboard it's too small and just ruins the experience of the phone

  • Hey Trent, how will the current supposive upcoming recession affect you and your gadgets?

  • haha i suppose you were spot on when you said you didnt think youd like the treo pro when we talked about it a few months back. Im so glad i watched your videos and got some feedback and you alone swayed me away from the the pro and convinced me to get my e71. i, like you will never hand this phone over for anything, however i still have my trusty old 750 as my backup phone. so trent, i thank you in all of your expertise, keep up the good work man.

  • Can you please review the xperia x1 :)

and does anyone know if its going to be released on att (locked & subsidized) ???

  • I wish I could be enthused about seeing the Xperia in person some day, but I have low expectations. Windows Mobile isn't exactly the most efficient OS and the track record of Sony Ericsson with Symbian UIQ.3 isn't much better either. We shall see what the future brings.

  • I do know that there will be an unlocked version coming out that will be compatible with the North American 3G network bands: the X1a. Best Buy and Sony Style online have it available for backorder in silver.

  • The E71 front is not made of metal. Just the back. I found that out when i dropped it a couple of days ago. A mark showed that under the metal colour it's made of plastic. It's just a metal colour. A bit disapointing. The funny thing is that the same thing happend on my E61 a couple of years ago. And then the mark, after the dropp, showed it was just platic colour, and metal under. Funny how things change. Back in the day the hid the metal, now the fake it.

  • As usual. GREAT!

  • you should do a video on the Sony ericsson x1, it's the first Sony ericsson to use windows mobile

  • i second that, i also bought an x1 btw

  • Why don't you use widescreen?

  • Have you seen the n97? I want one!

  • Although I usually like thin phones, I was quite pleased with the look of the N97! However, I do recall Trent in the end likes a phone with the full qwerty under the screen. He may prefer a blackberry bold over the N97.

  • each to their own :P

I want a big screen to work with using the internet, plus it keeps the keyboard clean if it slides, just my personal preference.

The n97 is actually 15mm at it's thinnest point at 18mm around the camera bessel (I believe)

  • I personally like a simple, full touch screen layout with no extras like the iPhone, but admittedly I've never used a phone with a tactile keyboard. I'm not a big texter. I just like thin phones, and physical keyboards TEND to make thicker, bigger phones (if they are slide out), or smaller screens (if they are present under the screen on the front). I do like the look of the N97 though, I can see it being the perfect phone for a lot of people. Better camera is one thing I wish the iPhone had!

  • I have seen the Bold at an AT&T store and spent a few minutes with it. The qwerty had some promise, but overall I dont't think the rest of the device can compete with the E71. After my experience with the Epix, I think that I may be done with network locked devices for a good long while.

  • You should get an Unlocked htc G1 like i have. :D
