For nearly 17 years, until right then.. at 2:27 , I had no idea you could shoot diagonal without running forward.

You simply press and hold the R button. It will stop you from moving forward, and allow you to aim in all 8 directions. The hover-bike stage is much better now that i am able to shoot backwards and diagonal haha.

I experimented right after watching this. At first, I thought that maybe you needed to use the second controller's buttons, or something... Like in Wing Commander, where you can use controller 2's L and R to roll. But it turns out to be not nearly so complicated.

This guy is good! I remember playing this game, but could never complete it, even on Easy mode. To pass it on hard mode without dying once is extraordinary! It's probably just practicing it a lot and memorizing the levels. Good job.
