Electronic Warfare is the use of electronics to cripple an enemy ship. For example, you can decrease the sensor strength of a ship so that it takes longer to target you. Or jam his sensors so it loses it's lock.

Other options include preventing warping out, slowing down the ship, or make the ship easier to be hit with weapons.

The Kestrel is not really goof for people that dont have missile launchers.

And.... dont buy ANY shuttle. I made this error on my 1st character of my 14-days trial.

You have the kestrel wrong. It's not a gunboat, it has no turret slots. Kestrels, along with Caracals, Drakes, and Ravens are missile boats. The Caldari 'Gunboats' are the Cormorants, Feroxes, Rohks, and the cruiser I can't remember the name of.

"gunboat" is a term that is often used quite loosely. Even a missile boat can be called a gunboat, I personally don't like the word "missile boat", hence the word gunboat.

But if you check the latest version (see description in the upper right) you will see that the term "gunboat" has been dropped and replaced by "missile boat". :)
