  • Ah, the good old cartoons, they don't make like these any more :(

  • Alguien tiene este capitulo entero? En lo posible en Español Latino=)

  • Sucks that it's not the full cartoon and the audio is off.

  • The sound is horribly off

  • Who cares about sound in a macro cartoon? :P

  • Ladies & Gentlemen, were gonna have to end this picture. We ran out of this stuff.

  • Nice quote!!

    Bravo!!!

    you forgot . GOODNIGHT

  • awesome! tex avery is a genius!

  • True! I've been watchin this lately and I gotta say its one of the most hillarious things I've seen!! Gotta give Heck Allen crdit 4 the story-even though I normally shy away from giant animals. But that wacky style of animation those days is irresistable...its a shame kids these days don't know nothing but iCarly and Spongbob.

  • This is a funny cartoon, unfortunetly the audio is off from the animation. Still classic stuff xD

  • hey im searching for some more vids like this where can i find that garfield one (nighty nightmare)??

  • this is my favorite tex avery cartoon. I wish it had the beginning and the sound is off. Still, I hadn't seen this in a while, and it's still greatness.

  • My all-time favourite cartoon. You can hear a Quimby influence. Absolutley brilliant.

  • A Quimby influence? Gimme a break.

  • "Gimme (sic) a break"? I stated that I could hear a Quimby influence. The fact that King Size Canary was produced by Fred Quimby and music is by Scott Bradley who worked notably on Quimby's Tom and Jerry cartoons must be lost on you. Bradley was the man who re-worked Liszt's 2nd Hungarian Rhapsody when Tom played concert pianist. If you can't hear the influence you must be under it.

  • Well, you didn't speak about a Bradley influence. By your logic, you might as well call this a "Fred Quimby masterpiece" since Tex Avery worked notably for Fred Quimby (in case that fact is lost to you). Give credit to whom credit is due.

  • The fact that Tom & Jerry cartoons and Avery's MGM cartoons tend to sound the same is because Scott Bradley did the scores for both of them. He did this because he was working for MGM at the time. Fred Quimby had absolutely no influence on this (he probably didn't even hire Scott Bradley) or on anything else, for that matter. He was a dud who didn't "get" cartoons at all.

  • I am aware that Bradley produced scores for both. I take your point. I was thinking in terms of common denominators such as Quimby and Bradley and should have been more precise. It is a pity the opening scenes are missing; particularly amusing is the (initially) extremely scrawny-looking canary stating, "I've been sick." The mouse sniffing the bottle is also a highlight for me but only when it corresponds to the in-sync action!

  • This is one of the funniest shorts that Tex Avery ever did, but it's missing the intro, the sound dubbing seems to be off, and the little logo in the corner is uncessary and annoy. Would love to see more Avery shorts on youtube though.

  • The dubbing is way off, enough to produce some pretty funny effects, such as the cat pointing and the soundtrack going "screeech!" at 2:28.

  • And just look at the mouse speaking at 4:05! "Gulp gulp gulp gulp gulp..." Hilarious!
