The so called relentless bullyingand harrassment, which supposedly happened for months is a quick and easy answer; things like that don't actually happen. There was sufficient evidence to prove that Phoebe was already depressed and had attempted suicide before she was even at the school. There is no doubt she was badly bullied, however no worse than the bullying which occurs in thousands of schools everyday, which don't result in suicide.

I was just trying to say that the news only told on side of the story??? ever heard of the story about the chick who spilt coffee on her self at Mc donald and sued them? They only told one side of the story and it made her look stupid for doing so but on her side she got a 2nd degee burn and remained in the hospital for eight days while she underwent skin grafting. During this period she lost 20 pounds and TWO YEARS of medical treatment followed. tell both sides

@herebutoverthere - The harassment campaign against Phoebe was well-documented...it was a calculated effort to terrorize her b/c she - gasp! - dared to date the on-again, off-again BFs of two SH "mean girls" (despite that she was unaware of the fact, and even apologized to them upon learning of it)...I don't see any other side, other than the defense's vile attempt to portray Phoebe as a mentally unstable Irish harlot, which she wasn't.

OMG, this story shatters my heart. How can teens be so cruel to gang up on one new girl to the point of suicide? and how can a boy consider himself a man for bullying a girl? There are so many wrongs here and I hope this case will be the spark the education needs to prevent potential bullying.

It's not right that this innocent girl killed herself because some dumb ass teenagers tore her down to build themselves up. This is not how people deserve to be treated. She could've had so much potential, but instead, she was bullied, and torn down every single day she went to school. Emotional, and physical abuse is so overrated, and theatrical. People are hurting themselves because of it, and something needs to be done. Teachers, and the student body are acting like they're the victim's. wtf.

I hate how those school administrators try to bullshit their way around this by saying things like: "Bullying is not an issue here," "Oh-well we didn't know the student was being bullied to begin with," or "We do everything we can to prevent bullying." If the useless school system had really done its fucking job, maybe the poor girl would still be alive!

I am so sick of hearing about this case. It was sad yes, but why is her death the reason Massachusetts now wants to do more about bullying? This girl had issues before that were escalated by the bullying. No kid should be bullied but I am tired of hearing about this. I live in Mass and everything is based off of this. It's tiresome. Did we forget Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover. Where are his killers? Where's the trial for the kids who bullied this MIDDLE SCHOOLER to death? Hmm?

The whole school including the TEACHERS,STAFF,STUDENTS are to blame. Unfortunately, the majority of American teens are spoiled morons. Now the fact that she is IRISH has alot to do with it because of jealousy. She was good looking and most probably alot more intelligent than most of her school peers.She was educated in Ireland. Like lets be honest American schools, colleges etc are not exactly like Irish schools and colleges. Furthermore, Americans are not the brightest sparks on the planet!

It is about time something is being done. These bullies never stop to think, "what could happen if I do this?" It is sick that it takes them by surprise when someone commits suicide or a school genocide when something like this happens. It is a good idea that bullies will now be charged for their actions. These teens will hopefully set an example to other potential bullies.
