i'll have to ask Clifton. i just saw him last night. he always introduces it as "The Buffalo Soldier Song" (we do educational programs together). as far as i know it a song he learned from other Buffalo Soldiers. he is a member of Texas' offical troop.
Yeah, I have been trying to find the version he is sining, but only see the Bob Marley one. My late grandfather was a Buffalo soldier and my mom used to listen to that song when i was a kid. So that would be great if you could find it for me.
@themaxpowers the song is named Buffalo Soldier and the Persuasions sang their rendition of it and it was awesome, during Vietnam era every black Soldier sung the song when we got half way back home because that was when the other people began to change back to their evil selfves. not being negative but it was true.
