  • this song is about getting a handjob before sex, you ever see a chick roll dice?

  • great song

  • The best Pop/rockn'roll song Ever. Long Live the Stones!

  • Stones have been judged as a Satanic band in the past but the lead out riff on Tumbling Dice sounds like it came Heaven. No kidding. BG

  • @goumaz yup!

  • BGV's are rockin my world.

  • no doubt 1:48 covers a pretty good riff., my favorite band of all time no question about it. if this band doesn't want you to get up and get moving you do not have a pulse. especially this song. I also think this studio version , on that day well however it came about is fantastic, most if not all of their music is excellent, but I think this is one of their greatest songs ever, yeah I guess I like the stones a little bit

  • The lick at 1:48 is one of the TASTIEST IN ROCK 'N ROLL HISTORY.

  • My favorite Rolling Stone song.

  • 12 people just don't understand good music.

  • GREATEST ALBUM EVER = EXILE ON MAIN STREET

  • @MegaJohncoffey at least this album never had pathetic songs like Worst Song Ever…Official BBC released poll voted Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da the worst song ever. That’s because it is. Although Octopuses’ Garden runs it close…and Hello, Goodbye isn’t exactly the work of genius either. albums from beatles are awful dont put the beatles before stones its a shame.

  • @Prestonpiemincher couldnt have said it better

  • ITS THOSE HONKY TONK WOMEN!!

  • The MAIN album of Rolling Stones!!

  • @jackbouregard There is no such thing as a "main" album for a group with so many great ones.

  • @MegaJohncoffey the beatles can fuck off , not same same band did'nt have the class likes of albums like EXILE, BEGGARS , LET IT BLEED, STICKY FINGERS, ITS ONLY ROCK N ROLL, SOME GIRLS, TATTOO YOU

  • MUCH BETTER BAND THAN beatles (biggest overrated band in history)

  • A BIT HARSH THE BEATLES HAD A SOFTER AND BETTER HARMONY, THE STONES WERE MORE RAUNCHIER CATCHIER SOUND, THEY WERE TWO HEAVY WEIGHTS AT THE TIME, AND DONT FORGET THE KINKS AND THE WHO THEY WERE JUST AS GOOD, THE BEATLES ALBUMS WERE BETTER THAN THERE SINGLES

  • @MegaJohncoffey Fuckin sure! Horses for courses, I always thought. Insane to compare them. They weren't even TRYING to do the same things.

  • what about revolver, sgt pepper, the the white album, abbey road, let it be naked, rubber soul, hard day's night, help, beatles for sale, please please me, with the beatles, magical mystery tour the red and blue greatest hits albums, beatles post masters 1 and 2 album do i have to go on, the achieve alot in 8 years than anybody, dont get me wrong love the stones as well, my second favourite, follow by the kinks, the who great times.

  • @MegaJohncoffey WTF's your point??? I agreed with your earlier comment (about the respective merits of BOTH bands) and you respond by listing beatle's albums!

  • @MegaJohncoffey You list the Kinks and leave off Zepplin? Tragic.

  • This is one of my favorite tracks from Exile On Main Street.Anyone who hasn't heard this album as well as Sticky Fingers don't know what they are missing.Of course once you become a Stone's fanatic you will want to check out all their great albums as well as the recently released 'bootlegs' The Brussels Affair and Hampton Coliseum (live 1981).Oh,and speaking of 'Tumbling Dice',Linda Ronstadt does a pretty decent version of this too.

  • how does this not have more hits//crazy!

  • 'cause all you women is low down gamblers,

Cheatin' like i don't know how, But baby, baby, there's fever in the funk house now. This low down bitchin' got my poor feet a itchin',

  • Women think i'm tasty, but they're always tryin' to waste me And make me burn the candle right down, But baby, baby, i don't need no jewels in my crown.

  • THANKYOU MOM AND DAD FOR BEING OLD HIPPYS AND SHOWING ME GOOD MUSIC !!!

  • PHUCK YEAH!

  • Intoxicating tune! As are all stones tunes!!!!!!!!

  • This features Bobby Keys on sax and Jim Price on trumpet. They showed up in France to help with the album, and played with The Stones through the early '70s. Keith Richards and Bobby Keys were born on the same day: December 18, 1943.

  • The Stones recorded this in the basement of the Villa Nellcote, a place Keith Richards rented in France so the band could avoid paying taxes in England. They would sleep all day and record at night with whoever showed up. For this track, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards played guitar, and Mick Taylor, ordinarily lead guitarist, played bass.

  • Mick Jagger: "It started out with a great riff from Keith and ... a completed song called Good Time Woman. That take ... was quite fast and sounded great but I wasn't happy with the lyrics. Later, I got the title in my head, 'call me the tumbling dice' so I had the theme for it. I didn't know about dice playing but I knew lots of the jargon. I'd heard gamblers in casinos shouting it out. I asked my housekeeper if she played dice. She did and she told me these terms. That was the inspiration."

  • Keith Richards says in an autobiography he hasn’t visited Mick’s dressing room in over 20 years.

  • Well, Jagger must be the the tumbling dice and Richards the beast of burden. Together they start me up.

  • Summer of 72. Myrtle Beach. On every radio. Every day and night.

  • exile on Main St was just amazingly awesome

  • It's interesting, I read an interview in which Mick said he considered these some pretty bad lyrics. However, I really like them; I understand that the lines don't mean much individually but it comes together really well. Plus, considering how good it *sounds*, who freaking cares what he's saying?

  • @theluckyfr0g Mick says he doesn´t like this album so much... I have to disagree

  • Gram Parsons influence can be heard here ...

  • i've seen them in concert ...badass

  • Baaaaby

  • Thumbs up if your drinking and this just seemed like the best album to dig right now.

  • @SeaHorseGypsy this is the best album to dig also when you're not drinking ;)

  • I'm not going to thump up the top comment because I believe this should be everyone's favourite Stones song. I can play this on repeat for an hour no problem.

  • @LiamCrowley1990 so true

  • prawie wogóle nie słychać jaggera, wreszcie słysze te zajebiste gitarki:) super

  • One of Keith's favorites and one of my favorites.

  • That opening chord is such greatness, such Keith greatness ....

  • @bretoff few realize this, great call, I am so uninspired by the music my kids bring home, it's not their fault, but my oh my,it was and still is a pleasure listening to Keith, thanks for your insightful comment,i'm just a burnt out ol rocker but glad there are others who feel the same,..tumbling dice!

  • Talvez o melhor disco dos caras!!!!E olhe que eles muitos discos fabulosos...

  • @Prestonpiemincher hard to deny that,no one compares....

  • Growing up, I always heard the Linda Ronstadt version. I never knew the stones sang this as well. Not until today. Now I'm obsessed with it.

  • this computer won't let me say what i want to say. it's ridiculous

  • back then the "i don't give a damn" ideology of american living was reduced to being "a redneck"

  • this is a redneck song through and through

  • this is a red neck song through and through. back then, the stereotype of the redneck had not been explicated yet and was associated with "i don't give a damn" freedom.

  • Keith Urban did an AWESOME cover of this song on Jimmy Fallon!

  • @courtneylovesurban Say GOOD. There're not "great" cover of the Stones, not even the Stones can sometimes cover they're songs.

  • So laid back they almost stop. They never did better after this beauty!(maybe Beast of Burden?)

  • I love it.

This is a Great Song. So Relaxed....Really Just Crawling pace!!

  • Ah yes! June '72 . My older brother waited in line to buy EOMS the day it hit the stores. Then waited for them to appear at the Boston Garden after midnight after they were arrested in Rhode Island. Then they blew the old arena out!
