  • what you are demonstrating is Magnetic Attraction and Repulsion Magnitudes. This is different from electromagnetic propulsion in that electromagnets are frozen to extremely low temperatures. Electricity is then applied to the magnets and cause atoms to vibrate. The direction of this vibration if controlled can be enough force to propel an object so the theory is said. I am a nuclear science and engineering major cool vid and project tho.

  • wow, 2 car engines just to propel maybe a kg of mass. Well there goes my idea..

  • would have been easier to use an elastic band but its still kinda cool

  • whats the song called?

  • the origanal was done by Phil Collins called "In The Air Tonight" this one is the remix.

  • So... typical use of electromagnets. Much like that used in some rollercoasters. This isn't anything new. It's quite inefficient however if it were applied on a larger scale such as with an actual aircraft on the run away, seeming as the amount of power required would be much greater, and it would only allow the aircraft to preserve its propellant for lift-off.

  • freaks :D

  • looks like a linear motor to me

  • Can you tell me how it works exactly?

  • Do the wheels operate like an electric train with electric train tracks?

  • No, a magnet is placed in the base of the car, propulsion is given by two pairs of electro magnets along the platform, they're configured to attract and to repel the magnet on the car in certain times. the wheels and tracks are just to guide the car straight on the platform. thanks for your question.

  • how did you configure the electromagnets along the platform to attract and repel the magnets on the car at certain times?

  • Hey man

  • OnLy GrEaT MaUrInHo . tElL Me OnE ThInG WhY We ArE So ShiNiNg??
