I love the Gloria. Thank you for sharing this. I saw it in Marseille in 2007 and had no idea what it was about until I did a little research when I got home. If you want to see a short clip of the sailors singing before they set sail, as the sun was going down, check my video here. Search "Gloria sailors singing" (I had a link, but I guess they'e not allowed?). It was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes.

@randyschr I saw the singing crew on your video, it's impressing. Even the Gloria was smaller than Russian Mir, but they were much more impressive. I should perhaps on Christmas get more time and I could cut together all footage what I made on the races. I have much more :)
