Clearly, some people DO write things down explicitly - e.g. when they do animations to reconstruct an accident in order to determine who's "at fault" i.e. who "caused" the accident.

The greenhouse effect although scientifically plausable does not necessarily mean that by increasing the amount of CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere its going to result in global warming. In fact it isnt & it never has & never will. The warmer the Earth gets the more clouds form that reflect light. The More CO2 there is the faster the plants grow to absorb it. It's a self-regulating system. CO2 is a life-giving miracle gas that helps increase crop yields. More plants means more food & oxygen for all

That will cause a 50% DECREASE of ocean carbonate ions (CO3).

Carbonate ions are needed for growth by plankton & corals at the base of the ocean's food chain.

Hello...thank you for your comments. During the day the incoming light is mostly in the visible range, there is relatively little energy in the IR range....the IR is primarily coming from the Earth surface which is at a temperature so that the peak in the radiation distribution is in the IR.

Another experiment..with heat transfer.

The Global Warming theory only uses Radiation in the model. There are two other methods called Conduction and Convection. Conduction is not all that important but Convection is very important.

Convection transfers energy to other air molecules by WIND, and allows the heat energy to be re-radiated into space.

The last time I checked, the Earth has WIND.

Maybe the Computer Climate Models should also use CONVECTION?

General Circulation Models (GCMs) do incorporate heat transfer by convection, which is the primary mechanism of transferring heat from the equator to the poles. The radiative balance that is presented in this video and elsewhere determines the temperature at the top of the atmosphere (TOA). Beyond this point, radiative transfer is the ONLY mechanism that operates, because you need a medium (air) for convection to occur. Without a greenhouse effect, temperature at surface = temperature at TOA.

Ok, now do an actual measurement with the real glass covered greenhouse. Take a temperature measurement of the atmosphere in the greenhouse. Now double the CO2 concentration in the greenhouse and take another temperature measuement.

Result...NO temperature rise!

I am not surprised I would be surprised if it did increase.. the absorption of IR occurs over the entire atmosphere, lets say approximately 10,000 feet of it( the thickness of most of the atmosphere). A house with double the concentration of CO2 won't absorb much more. There is another point, a greenhouse with glass dominates the effect .. the CO2 effect is much smaller.

Now was the greehouse temperature warmer than the air outside?

@gordonchecknita Yes the greenhouse theory can be easily disproved. Proving it is impossible and therefore it should be rejected. The problem is that the planet is now cooling abruptly due to natural forces.

Something I don't understand about re-radiating IR - will IR be radiated for any EM wavelength absorbed including visible light or is it only visible light that causes IR to be radiated? eg if the earths surface absorbed UV or X-rays or radio waves what wavelengths would it radiate them out at? if its IR whats so special about this wavelength?

Hi, If a mass if at 300K no matter how it got there it will radiate mainly in the IR range. So it could absorb visible / uv or it can be heated by some other method, conduction, for example... it will give off IR. What is special about IR is this is the peak intensity range that the Earth radiates... so the main visible light is converted to IR .. hope that helps!
