I'm 99% sure it's just original music scored for the movie. I have the DVD and the "making of" featurette for this fight sequence talks about it a little. I don't remember exactly, but I'm fairly sure it's just part of the original score.

hey wearing a thick jacket like that in fights would give you advantages in defend. Its harder to slice you up than naked or just a tshirt. And if you bleed, harder to see your blood( im talking about donnie's). Well, in weapon fights that is. In barefist fights, you dont nid to and it hard to spin nunchaku in jackets.

@20letternameonly A knife has long been antagonized as a weapon used by common thugs and gangsters. So Donnie as the protagonist uses a baton instead, a weapon commonly used by law enforcement, bodyguards etc. Either way, realistically speaking, he should have brought a gun and blew his head off, but then the movie would have been too short and less exciting.

@20letternameonly Ur comment is funny but you have to note on things like adaptation and switching techniques. A baton is more dangerious than a knife. Two words: FORCE MULTIPLIER, as u saw here. W/o baton it's all about grappling and using enemy's own force against him.

@TrueSaga426 that's true for ALL weapons. Unless of course it is a rocket launcher or gatling gun. LOL Fact is, combat is always unpredictable, and thus in real life, fight doesn't last this long. Which is why, choreographed actions like this are good for movies only. :D
